A Happy Post

Just a happy update. I posted a little while back about being reticent about telling my partner I love them, because I didn't want to set up expectations of following the traditional relationship escalator. Well, I finally got brave and told them, and guess what-they told me they love me as well. The world didn't implode. Things didn't get weird. It's fantastic!

Mother Wants to Keep Tabs on Me

Hello, everyone. My mother (late-60s) has a few diagnosed mental health conditions, but was never diagnosed with NPD. Although, I highly suspect it. She says hurtful things, but if you clap back, she's the victim. She was manipulative and controlling under the guise of "being a caring parent". We weren't allowed to have friends, but then she would accuse me of being too difficult and weird and that's why other kids bullied me.

I am in my 40s and have started a new job with a long commute. She asked me if she could track my location on a GPS tracking app, "for safety reasons". I told her absolutely not, and she said she has a good reason for asking me to do it, but I have no good reason to not do it. Then accused me of, "doing things I'm trying to hide, otherwise, I wouldn't care if she tracked me".

At the present time, going no-contact is not an option, so how can I head off these super accusatory, awkward conversations that leave her acting like a victim?

Hey, everyone! I'm getting ready to transfer to a state university in the fall to pursue my BSN. I've already taken AP I and II and Microbio, with labs and my GPA is 4.0.

The nursing program I'm hoping to get into obviously requires A&P and Micro, but their additional required science track allows you to choose between Survey of Chemistry I and II, Physics I and II, or Biology I and II. I'm not touching Physics with a ten-foot pole, but I'm thinking about going the Biology route to play it safe; however, I've heard people say it's better to take Chem, because it makes Pharmacology much easier. Thoughts?
