Why is David O’Leary not more popular amongst Arsenal fans?
He holds the all-time appearance record for Arsenal, came through the youth setup, spent around 20 years at the club from age 17, and won 6 major trophies including 2 First Division titles.
Yet in Arsenal’s “50 Greatest Gunners” list, he was only ranked number 14, below players like Kanu, Ljungberg and Overmars.
Why do you think that is?
Edit: I started following Arsenal during the Thierry Henry era, but when Leeds were in the Champions League I found out their manager, David O’Leary, was actually Arsenal’s all-time appearance holder. Since then I’ve always followed him, even at Villa. Then he kind of disappeared from football for years until he showed up again on The Overlap. Genuinely made me happy seeing him back in the spotlight a bit.
Casemiro blasts ‘disrespectful’ Jamie Carragher
So, It's your opinion. I respect your opinion. I don't like it because it's disrespectful. It's disrespectful to me," Casemiro said.
"What I win in football. But football changes. Life changes. Life changes. So, look now. It's about this. For me, the best thing in this moment we speak in Spain is I live in the big dark. I live in a good feeling.
“Everyone misses Casemiro. You know? About this, I decided to leave because I live in good. Because it's the same in Madrid. Everyone misses me there. Everyone misses this team. Now, it's the same. So, life changes.
"It's the life. Everyone forgets very quick. Everyone forgets very quick. But, again, the mentality."

This is new.
When asked if Carrick would be able to win the Premier League title with Man Utd, Wrighty said: “I think that Michael Carrick would be able to do that.”
Wrighty was then asked if he thinks so because of what Mikel Arteta has done as the Arsenal manager in recent years.
“What it shows, Gary, is that it can be done.
“He’s got the kind of character and persona of somebody that can manage what’s going on.
“He can control it. He’s not bothered about the noise or what’s going on. He seems to have got the players going.”
