MacBook Pro 2020 displays black & white when connected to TV via HDMI cable and Roku TV. Any quick fixes?

I first tried connecting my MacBook to my TV with an HDMI to USB-C cable, and the screen mirroring on the TV showed up as black & white. I thought the cable may have been bad, so I bought a Roku TV to try screen mirroring with my laptop. It still displayed black & white!

My MacBook screen is in color, and the TV displays color in its menu, just not in the mirrored display. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot or any quick fixes for this issue?

Laptop: MacBook Pro 2020 macOS 14.6.1

TV: Vizio M3D470KDE

Let me know if you need any more details!

How do I [24M] make platonic friends with a woman [23F] I recently met?

Our ages and genders are irrelevant here. I'm mainly curious about how I can form a platonic relationship with someone who might want something romantic.

I met someone through mutual friends 2 weeks ago. We had a great conversation, exchanged Instagram information, and said our goodbyes. Since then, she started & has been sustaining a conversation through text (despite my mildly dry responses) and wants to hang out alone.

Here's what I'd like help with: I enjoy texting her and would like to hang out with her, but I don't have any romantic intentions. I'm really uncomfortable with the idea of her thinking that I might also have romantic interest because of my text replies & willingness to hang out (i.e., I don't want to make her feel led on). How can I effectively communicate to her that I'm only interested in a platonic friendship?

From the experience of friends and myself, unreciprocated romantic feelings often create tension or end the relationship, and I want to preserve our relationship! I'd love to hear some ways I could approach this situation in a way that minimizes tension and gives us the opportunity to move forward as friends. I'm happy to give further details if necessary!

TL;DR: How do I respectfully tell someone that I'd love to only be friends without ruining our relationship?
