How the fuck a vampire - this magical undead creature - can still have cancer? I give up

Ok so I made a post a few days ago about vampire blood not healing cancer and I get it. The cells and all that - Its fine, its logical, vampire blood cant heal cancer when given to a LIVE HUMAN BEING. The cancer patient Caroline fed her blood died within hours bc the blood made the cancer spread faster. And so he turned into a vampire. Its fine, its logical.

BUT THEN… He still got cancer after he turned!!! Jesus fn christ, how is this even logical? YOU ARE DEAD MATE. The only reason you’re still breathing is because of MAGIC and we’ve never seen a sick vampire throughout 6 seasons. So how?? Why?? How the fk no one ever heard of that? I feel they only wanted a reason to off Carols mom and make it dramatic but there were so many ways to do that without this whole unlogical twist.

Julie Plec should be arrested. I rest my case.

Wasn’t Nadia supposed to have had a child when she was human?

Nadia said she spent her whole life searching for Katherine and even became a vampire bc of that. But isnt she supposed to have had a child as well so the Petrova bloodline could go on and Elena could be born? It was explained in the first seasons that the doppelgangers werent random and that both Isobel and Elena were part of Katherine’s bloodline because of the daughter she had before she turned. I feel the show didnt explore that quite well since Nadia wouldnt have spent her life chasing her vampire mother if she had a kid to take care of, and she def would have remember her mother days when she was allucinating before she died.

If Amara spent 2 thousand years locked in a box how can she speak english?

It was shown that Silas and Amara lived in Greece 2k years ago, but Amara speaks english when they wake her up. Silas was also keps in a cave for 2k years and yet he speaks english, uses slangs and even makes a joke about Madonna… how do they know all this stuff? lol

In season 5, when Katherine meets Nadia, why she becomes homeless afterwards?

In S05E05, Nadia tells Katherine who she really is and they have a moment. Later on the same episode Katherine goes back to Mystic Falls because Damon called her and ends up being fed to Silas. In the next episode Katherine is pretty much homeless and ends up going to Whitmore College pretending she is Elena so she can have a place to stay. I dont get why she didnt go back to Nadia? They seemed to be bonding and Im pretty sure Nadia wouldnt let her alone in the street. Did I miss something?

Stefan and the sire bonding in s4

Im rewatching s4 now, just watched the episode where Elena tells stefan (through Rebekas compulsion) that she being in love with Damon has nothing to do with the sire bonding, she feels better with him bc he doesnt make her feel guilty about being a vampire while Stefan treats her like a broken toy that has to be fixed. I think the way he responded to that, acting out and working with Rebekah, so out of character.

I mean Elena has a point yk? He wasnt dealing with her changing that well, and he’s the one who broke up with her (before she slept w damon btw). He’s also the one who said Damon should lead her training bc he couldnt control his cravings for blood around her. So honestly I dont get why he got so upset she chose Damon and slept with him.

Why do I feel so insecure?

Hey girls, whats up?
So I’ve been trying to elaborate how I feel for the last few days and came to realize that most of my anxiety towards my SD is about my own insecurities. We don’t see each other that often bc she lives in another city with her mom, and even tho my BF sees her more frequently, I’m not always with him cause I have little free time and sometimes I prefer focusing on my own stuff as well.

Even so, whenever she comes around, specially to our house, I always need a couple of days to cope with the changes in our routine and often keep a little distance Im never mean to her in any way, I actually care for the kid but its like I freeze, you know? After some days we always find a way to break the ice and have a good time together tho. And thats why I started analyzing my own feelings and realized that actually I feel completely insecure around her. I fear I might say the wrong thing, I fear I’ll be judged by my BF and mother in law (shes really overprotective towards her granddaughter) and ultimately I fear being rejected by the kid - which sounds insane but its not something I can fully control. So most times I just end up waiting for her - a 9yo - to come to me, cause I dont wanna feel like Im pushing it or anything, yk? I also fear getting too attatched cause even tho me and bf live together, I still have trust issues so I get scared to get too involved and then get my heartbroken. Even tho, I really wish me and SD could build a relationship where she can trust me and feel
safe to come to me about things she might not be so comfortable talking to her parentes. I’m used to be the cool auntie but I’m definetely not used to be a SM yet.

Have you ever felt the same? Like you’re building walls when you should be building bridges for fear of being judged and rejected?

Btw I grew up w/o my mom and my relationship with my step moms werent always that great so that might explain a little about my own traumas

Am I not understanding?

So, here’s my story:

I’ve been with my BF for 3 years now and he has a 9 yo daughter - I met her when she was 6. He and I live together but she lives with her mom in another city.

He had her when he was 22, he met her mom in college and they dated for a while and she got pregnant. It didnt work out between them and they broke up before she had the baby but tried to live together during her first months - which as far as I know wasnt the best experience to any of them. They stayed in the same town, with 50/50 time with the kid, for some years. 3 years ago he had to leave town bc he couldnt afford living there anymore since there werent any jobs. He stayed at his parents for a while and then got a job in my city and we started sharing the apartment I already lived in (to me it was also a financial decision since rent prices exploded and we thought why not?)

Later on the same year the kids mom also moved from town as she finished her phd and got a job elsewhere (she moved town with the kid 3 times now in the last 3 years). They live 6hrs from us, and during holidays and school breaks the kid comes here, but since we work 12h a day, most times she stays at her grandma’s during the week and he goes see her on weekends, since his mom lives 2hrs from us.

Its important to say thay we all have financial problems since my country’s economy is a mess, so its not really easy to change this whole situation.

Point is we live in a one bedroom apartment, with little space. Whenever she comes to stay here, its a big change in routine. She has to sleep in our room but she throws a tantrum about sleeping in the mattress or the couch, she must sleep in the bed. I have a back problem so sometimes I sleep in the mattress but not
for a long time. Point is during my work vacation he decided to bring her here for a whole week. He’s done it before and it really upsets me bc its the one time of the year I’m completely obligation free.

We weren’t in the best terms, we’ve had a fight in the week before about lack of communication and the division of house tasks. The next week he brought her and didnt tell me it was going to be for the whole week. I stated I would enjoy my vacation how I pleased and that I wanted the room with the TV and peace of mind in the moments I was home.

I also stated that this division of space wouldnt be a problem if he invested in a bigger place or at least some furniture to acommodate her better. Now he is sleeping in the mattress on the floor and she is sleeping in my bed, with me. I dont like it, but theres not space in the bed for the 3 of us anymore since she’s 9 now.

He told me he feels uncomfortable bc it looks like I’m bothered by her presence - which I somehow am, but only bc we dont have enough space, everything gets messy and I want my personal space. He said I’m not being understanding bc he only has little time with her, and he thinks it shouldnt be a problem for me to “participate more”, engage more and even give up my room so she can watch TV - which is something I want to do during my break and we only have one TV, she can use her computer tho.

I just think I’m not the only one who has to be understanding. I dont want to be involved this week cause he didnt even tell me about it and I want to focus on my stuff, I’m not confortable bc I resent him for not communicating and not making agreements with me before bringing her for a whole week and the whole routine of the house changes when shes here - and she has a temper, btw. So I’m mostly spending my time outside or inside my room marathoning my favorite show during this week, but he’s a little upset about it because he expected me to be more heartwarming even tho we didnt talk about this. I honestly wanted to feel happier but I am not so I. just kept my distance during the last few days.

Am I a wrong? Am I a terrible person? I dont really know how I feel about this whole thing cause my emotions become a roller coaster during this moments of change in routine and shared space.

my boyfriend has a daughter

so… my bf has a 9yo daughter who lives in another town with her mom, its a 6h trip to get there so they dont get to see each other in person that much. they talk daily tho, and she spents all holidays and school breaks at his mothers (her grandmother) house, wich is a 2h distance from our home. during her stay there, he goes see her on the weekends bc he works during the week.

he came to live with me around 3 years ago, we live in a 1 bedroom apartment and even tho I get he misses her and wants to spend time with her in our house, it really bothers me bc my whole routine changes when she’s around. he even stops sleeping in my bed, he goes to the couch bc she refuses to sleep in the couch so he gives her his spot on my bed. i dont mind when its a weekend thing but last week he brought her to our apartment and decided she would stay the whole week which is, btw, my last week of vacation from work so I really wanted to have my space. I keep telling him if he wants to bring her here to stay longer than 3 days, he should invest in a better structure to receive her without changing our whole routine because it gets really unconfortable to me. he says he agrees but ends up not doing anything.

he wants me to be more understanding and I honestly wish I was but I get so unconfortable with the situation that I cant shake this feeling so I end up just keeping it to myself and waiting for it to be over. am I overreacting and being completely crazy?

how do you feel about william lewis’s ending?

i’m rewatching the show and i just watched the episode where lewis shoots himself after playing russian roulette with Olivia. After some investigation, the DA decides to go after Liv for murder cause they dont believe her story about him commiting suicide.

there are 2 things that bother me about this plot:

  1. i understand lewis is a psycho and did it to traumatize and incriminate Olivia. what I dont get is why he would go through all the trouble of escaping prison, starting a killing spree, kidnapping a little girl and luring olivia to the scene and all that, just to off himself in the end without even raping her - ofc i didnt want to watch her or anyone being raped, i just think its odd that after all the time he spent with her and all his obsession, she’s the one victim he didnt rape

  2. why the DA went after her for murder? lewis went on a killing spree, escaped prison, killed and officer and a nurse, killed a mother of 2, raped one daughter and kidnapped the younger one… why would anyone cared how he died? the police had killed people for much less in the show (and irl) and nothing happened
idk i think they stretched a little with that one, dont yall agree? kind of a lazy ending after so many episodes about lewis imho

i’m about to break up with my bf fr and want opinions

so, the tea: I live w my bf for 3,5 years now and i kinda broke up w him (he’s still living here, we had a fight 2 days ago and i might have said i wanted do break up and we havent talked since

the motive: well there are 2 things i asked for him in our last discussion 1) about his participation in domestic tasks, which are unsuficient and i’m constantly having to ask and plan and decide everything. we talk about it, he says im right and that he will pay more attention and then things get better for like 1 week and then its back to square 1. it gets me really tired because I work long hours and study and my routine is really overwhelming. before him my house was alway clean and beautiful but now its constantly a mess.
2) he keeps saying how going out frequently w his friends are important to him and i ackowledge that BUT everytime he goes off que says “he’ll be home soon “ and things like I @can wait him for dinner” and then proceeds to leave me waiting for hours. its ok if hes out, im not one of those, but it bothers me the lack of communication and the unnecessary expectation it creates just to be frustrated right after he fails. i mean sending a text wouldnt kill him right? so, i dont think he cheats on me (i hope so at least, u never know) but i feel disrespected. i mean why say something if you wont do it? i just dont wanna be put in the place of who waits

there being said, he agreed during our last conversation that he could work on communication but here we are w the same thing happening again. i got pissed bc i feel i cannot trust him even w little things like that and i dont see a future in a relationship where we’re constantly walking in circles u know? am i wrong or overreacting?

s15e6 october surprise

I was just watching this episode and honestly I dont get why SVU kept investigating this case after they found out the victim who cried rape was lying. Ok so Alex Muñoz (barba’s friend who was running for mayor) likes sexting and pay off girls to be quiet about it… is that even a crime? I agree it’s imoral, since he’s married, but what’s exactly the case here that justifies further investigation?

After they found out the first girl was lying and was actually a con artist I don’t see the point of trying to make a case out of it. And I get Alex gave political jobs to some of these girls but let’s be honest, this describes 99% of the politicians and has nothing to do with SVU whatsoever… the only thing that made this episode less boring was being able to know a little more of barba’s past
