Help me make sense of this.

I keep hearing and seeing that Talons is the competitive choice, especially the 3 land raider build, but I can't wrap my head around it.

Yes, there's a reactive move strat, and yes, that is of course powerful. Is that it? The mortal wound protection requires nearby sisters, and the +1 to hit for sisters is situationally useful at best. The rest of the strats, such as fallback and do stuff and +1 to wound are completely eclipsed by lions. Lions even has a reactive move (to shooting), which is not as good but can still be used to hop back in a transport.

Is talons just better for our units that already have lance, like our bikes and venatari? I could of course see good play with those using the reactive move.

The +1 to wound just seems so critical to ensuring you actually damage what you go after I can't understand why people like Talons. And the +1 to hit, when counteracting stealth and other strats/rules is really nice.
