Historic Restaurants?

My mom is doing a road trip along 66 next month and wants to meet up halfway through for dinner. She suggested Cattlemen's but I vetoed that because I've had horrible experiences there. Are there any old school/historic restaurants in OKC that are actually good? My first choice is Florence's, but I'm not sure if they'll be open when they're here (might be a Sunday).

ETA: My mom specifically wants to keep the Route 66 vibes going if possible. I like Teller's, but it is very much NOT the vibe.
