Does Thom do the low part? If he does that’s insane because it doesn’t even sound like him

So my dad had this pedal lying around and I am trying to play with it but it seems like the range is terrible? I was trying to play Subterranian Homesick Alien by Radiohead and my teacher showed me that it used a wah, but it seems like mine just has very little range in the notes that it goes between. My teacher said it should go pretty high because it’s Tom morello and all his solos have that really high note wah in them so… any help?

I’m trying to learn im guitar and I don’t understand it. You know what I’m talking about, the spacey sound in the back. Is it a guitar or something else?
