Narrators you drew inspiration from or gave you any ideas?

Or that you just really like. Or heck, maybe the opposite, where you listened, didn’t like the style, and concluded you wouldn’t want to do anything similar.

I’m currently listening to Dungeon Crawler Carl and Jeff Hays does a really good job with character voices. It actually gave me some ideas for a book I’m currently in the process of narrating.

If I implement a new technical solution, is my manager responsible for learning it?

I’ve implemented a lot of solutions, most of which consist of things that are a little technical in the background, and I’ve found that my supervisor can’t keep up.

For example - One such solution was a tool she brought up purchasing from a supplier. We discussed it, agreed on it, and we are about to fully implement it. I’m fully knowledgeable on how to use it, as the supplier went through a good tutorial. I am confident I’m able to use the tool to make our work better, and I already have in some aspects.

However, my supervisor doesn’t understand how to use it. I’ve taught her multiple times, and she still doesn’t get it. This makes things difficult cause if I want to change something about the tool, I have to run it by her, and it’s like I’m talking a foreign language.

For some context, we work in information governance, and the tool is an all-in-one tool to manage data and document retention schedules. My manager has about 2 or 3 years left till retirement, so it seems like the age old “can’t teach an old dog new tricks” joke, but I wanted input from other managers…should I accept this or should I bring it up to her managers? I have brought this up before, and she just apologizes, and that’s about it. I’ve also used things like Power apps and Power Automate flows and she doesn’t understand those either.

I started playing this game after the content update before last. (When you could only go to level 80 of the mines). The game never crashed, and everything ran smoothly.

Nowadays, it’s crash city. I’ve had 7 or 8 so far. 3 of which gave me errors and basically said it couldn’t load the dragon statue in the farm (the GameMaker crash). Then sometimes it just crashes out of nowhere. I have made crash reports for each one so I’m hoping they get enough information to fix them. But god damn I hate wasting my time, I’ve taken to saving mid-day almost every day so I don’t lose a full day’s work. But sometimes I’m in the mines the whole day getting stone and materials.

0.15.3 seems to be the most unstable version I’ve played. I’m really hoping that they come out with some fixes soon, but even if they do, I’m still thinking I may wait till 1.0 to keep playing. I was working on really getting my farm together the way I want it long term and just got to town rank 70 and almost everyone up to 8 hearts, so I don’t really want to stop, but it’s just really frustrating.

Anyone else in the same boat?
