Been having a Trakt issue for a while now, several months at least. Just never got around to dealing with it. Today's the day!

Trakt isn't remembering my watched shows anymore. It remembers shows watched 'long ago', but anything I watch 'now', does not get marked as watched. If I manually mark it watched (in Kodi), then it will show for that session, but the next time I come to use Kodi those shows will show as unwatched. Trakt is set as the watch tracker addon. All settings should be fine, I've used trakt for ages and haven't changed any settings recently.

I might be misremembering, but I think very rarely it will mark a show as watched, and will more rarely remember the odd show here and there. But I might be misremembering and anyway, by far the most common behaviour is to not mark and not remember.

I'm having an issue with a skin. It's Xonfluence, actually, but I'm hoping they're more Confluence related and so people here might be in the know. The Xonfluence forum isn't very active.

Issue 1- I've added a custom item to the main menu (TV, TV Shows, System, Games, etc.) And then I rearranged the order of the items. When I move my custom item to a different place, I end up with two entries for my custom item. And so I have to hide one and add my shelf items or whatever to the other. And I don't always guess right and end up changing the wrong one.

Tracking and fixing that overall issue might be arduous, I understand, so I'd be happy just being able to workaround it. I assume there's a reference file somewhere in the bowels that I can just open and edit, removing the duplicate(s). How would I do that?

Issue 2- Regarding shelf(?) items. The sub options directly below the main menu items. For system it's something like: Settings, Info, Add on Browser and a couple others I forget. I'd like to rearrange those, but they don't seem to actually reference anything. Meaning if I go to replace one, there are no options that go to any of the setting shelf functions. I can add an add on, favorites, etc. but there's no pointer to these same shelf functions. I'd like to rearrange the order of them first, and also maybe remove some, and would like to know how to restore it if I change my mind.

Any help?

My local electronics shop doesn't do it anymore, they say it's not cost effective compared to just buying a new AC.

Would be great to find someone affordable and also just not have to waste a couple year old AC that's been good for a while.

Just needs opened up, cleaned out and probably some more gas added.

Eta: Strong emphasis on people who go out to clean. Meaning work done at my place. Not real feasible for me to bring it somewhere.

Looking for online courses* to learn more about AI. I've played around with copilot and the duckduckgo plus models, but I'd like to expand my knowledge & experience.

*I say course because I don't do well with conversational type vblogs or youtube videos. I definitely prefer something structured and presented or taught. Free is great, but I'm willing to spend a little if there's a good a good course. I'm a clever tech end user but one who doesn't code in any way.

Length wise- I dunno, several hours at least, not looking for a primer. 10-20 hours? Some homework, labs, etc. are ok. Optional might be the best compromise there. Structured, thought put into a syllabus, etc.

I'm looking to learn things such as:

All the lingo around it:

• What's a token? (I have no idea)

• How the different models are actually different. Lists I've seen are all pretty generic, they're all 'good for coding' and 'conversational dialogue' or 'research'. I'd like to drill down a little deeper. Or learn officially that they're all basically the same at the user level, haha.

• Better prompting

• Maybe some stuff around agents & what/why/how

• Some in-class exercises playing around with different tasks would be great: Coding (mostly simple windows scripts at this point), basic research over the web.

(Not looking for the answers to these here/now, just examples.)

I feel like there's more I'm looking for/interested in but I can't quite name it. But hopefully you get the gist.

AndroidTV - Nvidia shield Kodi 21.2 Skin: Xonflunce

tl/dr - my kodi install borked somehow but I'm hoping it can be unborked. I don't have a recent back for this one.

very long/please read (vl/pr) -

Six months ago did a full reinstall of kodi. Set everything up, no problem, daily driving, no changes. I neglect a backup at this time.

Come home today and boot kodi. It acts like it's a first install (not 'running for the first time'). A window pops up asking about backgrounds and if I want to load the background addon. The splash screen video displays, I had that turned off.

-My skin, xonfluence, loads, but with looks like all default settings. My backgrounds are gone, my added menu item is gone, the main menu bar is in it's original location, etc. I gently and ever so slowly back out of kodi, lol.

Reboot a couple times, reboot the device, etc. Everything looks fine on the device, but when I open kodi, same deal.

But this time I notice- my library is still there, with all artwork, etc. My sources are still there. My addons are still there. The addons work.

So... I'm wondering if there's an trick workaround to fix this without reinstalling.

My thoughts were

re-installing kodi over itself, but I don't know what the would do.

copying over/replacing with my old backup of the skin xonfluence.

Wanted to ask you all first. Any thoughts?
