I HAVE CREATED A WEBSITE WITH USEFUL INFORMATION
Hello everyone, some time ago I already presented my website here - https://wtradar.net .
Since my site has received several interesting updates recently, I would like to highlight it on reddit again.
I'm just showing off the new features of the site
On this site you can:
- view and see clearly the operation of radars in the game, for (almost) all aviation radar
- stations and ground-based ones
- empirically measured data on missile dynamics
- view the fragmentation spread for air-to-air and ground-to-air missiles
- study the antipode mechanic (with a simplified missile simulation)
- aircraft acceleration to Mach 1
- study the ballistics of all projectiles (except naval ones, at the moment) in the game
- RWR coverage of aircraft
RADAR SIMULATION
For example, you can view the spatial scanning pattern of the radar beam for such air defense systems as the Pantsir S1, ADATS, SAMP/T, and others, including low-tier ones as well.
You can enable and disable the display of the engagement/damage zone for missiles, and you can also place a test target to clearly see how it would be scanned within the game.
The air radar simulation has the same functionality.
MISSILE DYNAMICS
What is important is that all the data that was obtained is not a calculation, but empirical. At the moment the page has not yet been updated (the last patch introduced many changes), but it will definitely be updated.
ACCELERATION TO MACH 1
On this page you can study in detail how aircraft accelerate from the airfield, at 5 degrees of pitch, up to a speed of Mach 1.
All the data was measured personally by me and is not a calculation.
On the graph you can see the thrust, acceleration, and other data of the aircraft.
MULTIPATH
This is an interesting page that describes in detail how the mechanic works in the game. It takes into account the most accurate calculation, just like in the game.
For a more accurate understanding of how the mechanic works, I have embedded a simplified missile hit simulator on the site. You can simulate firing at an aircraft and see whether the missile will deviate sufficiently from it. At the moment, only missiles with an active seeker head can be selected.
You can change the missile's speed, the aircraft's speed, and the aircraft's altitude. Everything is interactive and quite simple to understand.
AAM FRAGMENTATION AND SAM FRAGMENTATION
On this page you can see the fragmentation spread for air-to-air and ground-to-air missiles: how many fragments there are, what their damage and penetration are, and their spread radius.
You can view the image in different projections, rotate the 3D visualization, and create a PNG image.
RWR COVERAGE
On this page you can study the RWR coverage zones in the game. At the moment there are no other systems here, but they are planned.
The site is actively developing, and new features will gradually appear on it, while old ones will be updated.
My language is not English, so I apologize if there are any inaccuracies in the translation of this post or the site.
I would be glad if you visit and check out the site! Everything is free and made so that people can learn and discover something new.
