New thrift find.

It was the seahorses that that made me get it. This is now the largest piece of manganese glass in my collection. (Quarter for scale) That it was only $3 didn’t hurt either 😉

Most recent find…

A small little decrative plate that unforunately has a small chip at the top 😢 but it was only $1 so I still wanted it. It says “•THE WEDDING DAY• AND THREE WEEKS AFTER”

Update: Cream Pitcher aquired via RAOK 😀

Another reddit user “happydisasters” viewed my original post and new they had a matching cream pitcher and decided to mail it to me in a random act of kindness!! So here are both of them together. (I don’t yet have a display case for my collection, but I’m keeping an eye open for one that strikes my fancy) Thank you for the gift/raok happydisasters! 😁

Just a cute coffee/tea set

Honestly I’m not 100% sure if this is supposed to be a fancy toy set or a real coffee/tea set people would actually drink out of 🤷‍♂️ the cups only hold 2oz so maybe a “shot” of Espresso? It appears to be new condition, it still has foam sheets inbetween the saucer/plates. For $12 I figure it will make a fun gift for one of my many nieces or if it’s actually meant for adults to drink from a fun gift there too? (Looks like you can get them shipped on the auction sites without much trouble so it’s nothing rare)

Avon Snail bottles

So I stopped in the local thrift store and all three of the Avon bottles were sitting next to each other on a table priced $2ea for larger ones (stamped “AVON 7” on the bottom) on the bottom and $1 for the small one (stamped “12”) on the bottom (I think). Scooped them up right away, finished my walk through and checked out for $5 total. Both of the larger ones had dried up white stuff on portions of the inside and around the tops of the bottles. I put some rubbing alcohol in all of them and shook them up to clean them and it worked great! The snail heads are in VERY GOOD condition too!

Repurposed a frame I got at used furniture store.

I got this VERY nice heavy frame w/Leopard print from a used furniture store for $42 and I knew exactly what I was going to do with it! Taking it apart and saving the custom matt was the hard part (but totally worth it imo) I was able to save 95% of the original print (named “Gilded Leopard” by artist Chad Barrett) and reframed it in a 11x14” frame for my daughter who wanted it. The outer dimesion of the original frame are 27x31”. I think the gold tone evokes the memories of Leia’s bikini from the ROTJ movie and works really well with the black & white composite.

Framed print I just wanted for the frame.

So I picked this up at a second hand furniture store for $42 marked down from $60. I knew what I wanted to do with when I saw it, until you try taking it apart you never know what you’re in for (and I really wanted to be able to also reuse the nice matt). The original print inside was glued onto a piece of foamcore board and that was glued to the matt. Print was signed by Chad Barret art piece named “Gilded Leopard”. Just a standard copy/print that can be printed a million times (though it did have his signiture on it) unfortunately it got a couple tears from me getting the matt off of it. The frame is also a very well made wooden frame! I can still save most of the leopard print and put it in a smaller 11x14” frame because my daughter wants it. Nothing personal against “Gilded Leopard”, but I like the print I chose for it 😎 the outside frame demensions are 27”x31”

What are these called?

I’m interested in purchasing more of these crescent moon shaped frame back holders, but I haven’t had any luck searching online yet. I’m sure this is because I’m just not using the correct name/term for what they are. Thank you for helping!
