AP auto-attack tower damage modifier is using season 8 numbers instead of season 1-3

In season 8, Riot changed the AP tower damage to be 60% of AP. In the first three seasons, it was 40%. Tristana has 263 AP, so with the tower MR she should deal 75 magic damage, but she deals 111, which is what she would do with the modern numbers.

I knew that towers felt too weak for some reason while playing AP champs. This is most likely why.

Homeguards active level 1

This is disgusting. Homeguards gives you 36 MS level 1 that is almost full Berserker Greaves for everyone for free the entire game. Regular boots are only 25 MS, wtf is the point? It shouldn't be in the game period, but if they insist on it, it should be a buyable boot enchant like it was before, not free and level 1. That's just insane.

Phreak said he has a season 3 worlds patch running

He recently uploaded 'League of Legends Classic | Launch Patch Preview' and said he has a running version of the Season 3 Worlds patch that he can switch back and forth between and compare with the League Classic we have.

If Classic goes down the rails into modernization hell eventually, they could easily scrap it and just give us Season 3.

He also said this was intended to be "played for years," so it's confirmed to be permanent, not a "temporary game mode."

If Classic fails don't let them gaslight you for why it did.

None of the old champion kits feel oppressive to play as or against. When you die, it feels way more fair and deserved than modern League with 500 dashes. Riot's modernizations are obviously the worst part of the game; they just ruin the entire feel and pacing of it. Beneath all the garbage, there's an actually fun game in there somewhere.

If anything, this just makes me want a real "League Classic" even more. My "rose-tinted glasses" are firmly intact. Even the worst version of old League possible is more fun to play for me and feels more fair than modern League. I really hope they consider going back to the drawing board and give us a completed Season 3 without the shit modern XP/bounty/Baron buff and all the 117 champions.

This is why people asked for Season 3 with no changes as the baseline

Instead it's Season 1+ remix. 40 (36 with bans) champions play 5 games and you've seen it all, and it's the same thing every game.

Should have launched with 117 champs and made future changes with community voting. This is unfixable; even if they revert all the modernizations, there isn't enough champs in the game to make people stick around. They would have to release a new champ every day to catch up just to Season 1 metrics.

First gameplay thoughts.

Jungle is cooked. The camps are a joke and deal no damage. I don't know if this is due to the XP rates being the modern version or if they hard nerfed the jungle camps. (This is also with the scuffed runes and mastery pages. With a properly made setup, the jungle is even more of a joke than modern League.) They also die way faster than in old League. Baron and Dragon are a joke as well, deal like no damage, and die very easily. It wasn't like this before.

No old splash arts, and everyone being on modern models just looks so out of place. The black outline on mobs is just too much.

Baron buff is completely overpowered. Killing Baron-buffed minions is near impossible. Sieging is a walk in the park, especially since towers do less damage, so tower diving is easier mid/late game.

Base gates are stupid and already created a few situations where the enemy champ escaped for free when they would have gotten trapped. Rewarded for losing Flash earlier and shit pathing.

The only positive I'll give is that the trinket doesn't seem that offensive in its nerfed state. ( still don't like it but it's the least offensive thing here ) I didn't feel any nostalgia at all except when the queue music was playing. NOT GOOD!

If Baron buff stays it will just become the thing that decides every single game

On top of the disgusting modern minion buff that's going to make minions unkillable (imagine trying to clear that with longer cooldowns, lower gold, and mana being an actual resource — it's a nightmare), Baron will give 300 global gold, also global XP to each champion, 40 AD, 40 AP, and 3% max health/mana regen.

Game over after first Baron. RIP laning phase and longer/slower games.

League Classic is confirmed to have a voting system like OSRS here's what the first vote should be about.

Vote Number One: Modernizations

Remove Baron buffing minions.

Remove items that weren't in the game by Season 3: ward trinkets, Ardent Censor, judging by the leaks, Feral Flare (Wtf), Zz'Rot Portal.

Remove modern XP rates and bounty system (yes, they actually added this; it's hard to even grasp) and all the other things that they decided to add that weren't originally in the game.

I don't see a single one of these staying if they did a vote, except maybe having multiple champion kits (like on-hit Kata, on top of the AP assassin resetting one most people know). That's the only thing they have done in the spirit of classic.

Anybody watch the league classic showmatch?

I don't get it. The ADC was actually useful and didn't die in two seconds. It was also an actual ADC instead of a mage. Really weird.

Things I like and dislike/hate from what we have seen/heard in the League classic showmatch.

Like: Mix of items from Season 1/2/3, especially Spirit jungle items being back. Wraith camp shouldn't be a bad addition as long as the gold/xp is in line. Multiple champion versions on some, presumably like Katarina. People mostly want the Season 2-3 Katarina back, but also having the original on-hit, clunky version as an option seems good to me.

Dislike: Trinkets. Don't care how nerfed they are, it's not classic. The game was about having less vision. I can't see this being healthy for it at all unless it's literally a one-time-use item to stop some egregious cheese invades. They mentioned that dragon gold scaled way harder. That could become a problem because the game is supposed to be slower.

HATE: Baron buff on minions. Again the game is supposed to be slower. That's one of the biggest reasons people want old League back. It completely ruins the entire point of it. Too few champions. Why is it based on Season 3 when there will only be 60 champions (117 in Season 3)? If Galio, Aatrox, etc. aren't in there, people are going to be pissed. Another main reason people want old League back is because their champion got basically removed from the game by a rework. Why are base gates in the game? Did they just map it over the modern map? Why does Skarner have modern animations, and why are they allowed to select modern skins that weren't in the game? It ruins the entire nostalgia and immersion of it. We adon't want the spell clutter of modern league skins and the shitty anime/kpop aesthetic where you can't tell what's even going on the screen from all the random particle effects. Also, the loading screens and champion select don't look the same as they used to. It seems like some scuffed imitation.

Iran war restarting Bullish for Sandisk and Tech?

The last great pump came during the war and ended after the ceasefire and massive oil price drop. If the war restarts, it could stop the broadening of the market and restart the consolidation into tech, as tech is the least affected by it.
