Smash Stars (In development fan game)

Smash Stars is a pixel animated Platform Fighter made by fans, for fans. The game takes classic brawl stars characters like Shelly and Spike and puts them in this 4 player free for all! We currently have a discord where you can see our progress. We still need help as we are short on programmers (Gamemaker is the engine). If you have any programming skills please reach out to us. If not, please join our development discord to chat with others and see our progress!

Champion Clancy is now Finished! (Follow Up Post)

Due to Hank's orders, Clancy has taken a trip to Japan on a special mission to win the trophy. Training with his military skills, aiming prowess, and multiple bowls of noodles, Clancy is full of both confidence and broth to win the tourney!

The skin is finally finished! Thank you all for all of your support and we hope that we can take the win! I really appreciate everyone who saw our previous post about the people who stole the older version of this skin.

Disney-versus (What if Disney accepted Multiversus) Day 3

Goofy Slips In! Goofy would be a Tank/Mage hybrid who uses his clumsiness against his opponents. Using Banana Peels, Sports Equipment, and his supreme fishing skills, Goofy is ready to lay the hurt on foes, and maybe himself too. (Some extra stuff I see him having is Bugs's Up Attack and whenever Goofy is K.O'd he does the Iconic Yell).

Spiderman Swings In! Spiderman is the highly requested Assassin fighter, zipping around the screen with his webs and trapping people in them as well. Spiderman's main mechanic is a tether he can use for his up special by marking his opponents. This tether can be used to quickly dash to foes and combo them into the skies.

Buzz goes to infinity and beyond! Buzz would take more inspiration from Disney Infinity and the Disney channel show rather than the movies. Using his saber, laser, and dropping bombs, Buzz is this games version of a hybrid between Samus and Byleth. Including his Up Special using his wings for free flight or you can press down special during it to fall with style.

Homer D'oh's Head First! Homer would be your average bruiser similarly to Shaggy. Homer special mechanic would use his most precious item, the TV! Homer places the family TV using his down special. Opponents caught within the radius of the TV will be periodically stunned for Homer to follow up. Homer's other moves would be a WOO HOO Neutral Air, Pie Man Up Special, Using his Car for Side Special, and of course his iconic donut.

Rules:

  1. Only suggest characters from Walt Disney Animation, Pixar Animation, Disney Channel and Disney Channel Animation, Marvel, Star Wars, Muppets, and Fox for the roster.
  2. You can list how said character could play!
  3. The top 3 most upvoted comments get put in. Only suggest 1 character.
  4. NEW RULE: Multiple suggestions of the same character can override high upvotes.

Let's see who wins this time!

Disney-versus (What if Disney Accepted Multiversus) Day 2!

Well I asked and you guys answered! Stitch, Venom, and Darth Vader have entered the Disney-Verse! Stitch would be a Glass Cannon character similarly to Pichu (also similarly one of the lightest characters) using his lasers, extra arms and even a chainsaw as a throwaway special move. Venom is a Heavy Zoner/Rushdown Hybrid combining elements of Ridley, Bowser, and K. Rool as well as web slinging and morphing. Darth Vader is this game's "Ganondorf". He has hard hitting attacks in combination with his lightsaber and command grab.

Rules:

Disney-versus (What if Disney Accepted Multiversus) Day 1

Welcome to Multiversus! In this hypothetical, Multiversus pitched to Walt Disney Studios and it was a success. With a BETTER development team, payment options, and progression system too. You guys can suggest Disney characters that you would like to see in said hypothetical roster with a few rules!

I've decided to start with 3 fighters from the start: Mickey, Donald, and Minnie.
Mickey is your average all round Bruiser character with most of his attacks pulling from the 2013-2023 Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse Series. Donald is an abusive Assassin character that uses his rage on his opponents. Using cream pies and mallets as weapons. Minnie is a Mage character who can blow kisses to stun foes, use her parasol as a recovery, and pull random items from her purse like vases, bowling balls, and even a piano!

Do NOT vote this skin

This person took our photo of the skin WE created and is using it for they’re submission. Please let this post get the attention of supercell so they are aware of this. They took our skin that we made.

Our Submission For the Supercell Make! Champion Clancy! (WIP)

This is our FIRST supercell make! and hopefully we can make it a success. Champion Clancy is our current submission for the Supercell Make. Me along with 3 others have put our heart and soul into the crab's new skin. We were inspired by various anime (One Piece, Naruto), Traditional Japanese Clothing, and the usual Punk Aesthetic that comes with Brawl Championship skins! We hope that you vote for us in the upcoming Supercell Make, Starting Tomorrow!

Give me a Brawler and I will give them a moveset as if they were in a capcom fighting game!

Self Explanatory. Give me up to 2 brawlers to create a moveset for in a hypothetical arcade fighting game similar to street fighter or guilty gear. I will make the movesets as listed:

(Brawler Name)-Archetype
Main mechanic (if they have any)
List of their Special Moves
2-3 of their supers
any other unique quirks they have!

Tag-Team Platform Fighter (Trying to figure out the ins and outs )

Me and some friends are working on an upcoming platform fighter called Monstrous, a 2D Hand-Drawn platform fighter starring monsters and cryptids. The main gimmick of the game is the Tag Team mechanic seen primarily in Traditional Fighting games like Marvel vs Capcom, Skullgirls, and Marvel Tokon. We like the idea, it's just we don't know what else should be changed or kept the same to work in tandem with our "shiny" new gimmick. "Should we make the movesets smaller to make room for the tag team mechanic"? "How big or small should your team be (2-4 chars.)"? "How will existing mechanics in platform fighters clash with our new mechanic"? "Should we add MORE new mechanics on top of our tag team"? These are all questions we have asked ourselves as a team and we would like you guys to help us out.

Here I will give a quick rundown of our current mechanic list:
Attacks: (4) Neutral + Directional (No dash attack), Aerials: (4) Neutral + Directional (Back Air is replaced with Side Air), Specials: (8) Neutral + Directional which can (sometimes) change depending if you're airborne.

And of course a Super Meter (We're still debating if there should be multiple super bars with multiple supers or one big super like super smash bros.

Parrying replaces Shielding, Dodges stay, and our new ASSIST button. Pressing the assist button calls out your next character to perform a specific attack before dipping. Pressing Special + Assist TAGS OUT your current character. Tagging in and out doesn't change that character's percentage. (If you tag out while your last character was at 98%, tagging them back in leaves them at 98%)

We have considering things like having directional normals be replaced with separate Light, Medium, and Strong buttons (Specials are command input), removing ledges, and grabs, Giving characters more or less specials, and even having an option to not use a team while fighting multiple others that have teams. It would really be a big help if we could get some advice! Thanks for Reading!

Would anyone like to help with a fan project?

If you or a person you know created music that can be used in video games, WE WANT YOU. Me and some buddies are working on a brawl stars fan made fighting game and we are in need of a composer. The game is in-fact non-profit meaning there is no form of pay. This is for fans, by fans! So if you or a buddy consider helping, please comment on this post so we can collab! Even if you can’t contribute it would be very nice of you to join our discord server to cheer us on and see development progress! Thank you.
