I’m trying to make data shortcuts for local files, but I’m being blocked by my Forma subscription level

Is there any way to get around this? C3D simply won’t allow me to create data shortcuts, no matter what file I’m actively using because my company doesn’t have the Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro subscription level. From my research, I should be able to do it locally, regardless of my subscription; but Forma is taking precedence.

Why aren’t snacks and such sold in multiples of 7?

I frequently consume prepackaged snacks or protein shakes, but none of those things comes in packs of 7 or 14. They’re frequently sold in packs of 5, 6, or even 8. There are 7 days in a week. It’s not unreasonable to expect someone to drink a protein shake every day, making 7 a much more convenient number to sell the items in. It’s really annoying

How can you tell if an interest is a fleeting infatuation or a possible passion?

I’ve developed an interest in something, and it’s got me thinking about taking action on it and changing the course of my life. I can’t figure out if it’s just that, an interest, or something I could end up being passionate about. Making that change would be a significant commitment, both in terms of time and money. I’m not helped by the fact that I’ve just felt really lost lately, so I can’t tell if I’m just clinging on to something new or have actually found something that could give me a new purpose.

Go right ahead, I totally wasn’t working on anything

Why does Windows keep doing this to me? I’ll just be working on something and it’s like “oops, restarting, hope you didn’t need all that.” FUCK YOU, WINDOWS

Ignore my sloppy scribbling to hide my reflection a bit

For me, mostly just condiments. They have vinegar in them, which acts as a preservative. Those are really the only things that stick around in my house long enough for the expiration date to matter

Obviously my first language is English, so I’m most used to phonetic systems. I’m struggling, though, to wrap my mind around pictographic systems, such as ones like Chinese. Every symbol is largely unique and doesn’t directly correspond to a pronunciation the way they do in alphabets. Homophones in Chinese can have entirely different characters. What aspect of that character expresses what sound and meaning is intended when speaking it aloud? Is there any system to learning it beyond straight up memorization?
