I never wear suits. I'm a Marie biologist, so a button down and jeans is considered formal work attire. Does this suit look like a good choice and decent fit?
We don’t have great Big and Tall options here locally, so I tend to have to buy things sight unseen online.
Most belts that advertise themselves as elastic ... are not. They may have some give, but I am very much one shape when I sit down as opposed to when I stand up. I wear my pants over my stomach. Just my preference.
I would love some suggestions. Thanks in advance.
Looking for plus sized hoodies. Preferably white and if a matching sweat set even better. Tried comfrt since they said they were oversized but no luck. Did like the feel and softness of them but need it larger. Any recommendations?
Sometimes I need an outer layer.
But I also realize that wearing a zip-up hoodie gives off strong slacker/dad/college/vintage-toy-collector vibes.
I don’t need to be dressed UP, but I’ve used the hoodie as camouflage for years.
Is a better casual outer layer?
Edit: no hate to slackers, dads, or vintage-toy-collectors. The fact is, I look kind of sloppy. Especially at airports or anywhere casual.
For those of you that are buying ragaln tees, why are you buying them? because they make your shoulders/arms look bigger and well rounded? they look good on you? you noticed more women complimenting you? asking because theres just certain shirts where women love on me. For example, (tank tops from young-LA) they show the chest very well. But i love raglan tees, and also wanted to see what you guys pair it with, jeans and air force-1s or boot cut jeans with cowboy boots and etc... would love your opinions and how you guys rock them. (also i love wearing clothing that women love lmao)
Bought me this chechotah shirt recently, had to wear it. Got on the Wranchers and Los Altos boots. Can’t wait for this heat to go away!
Looking for ideas of where I can sell big & tall clothing that is more targeted to the big & tall folks than eBay. I've had some 90s era Levi's up there for months for cheap with no interest. I haven't seen anyone post items for sale here, is that allowed? I saw someone posted their Poshmark closet on this sub a few days ago but the post is gone-not sure if they sold everything or the post was removed by mods.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Currently wearing a 20in neck, 36/37in sleeve, from Men’s Warehouse, but since I was last “fitted”, the gut area is noticeably extended with the buttons being close to popping.
What are my options? Do I find a larger size and get it tailored? Or can anyone recommend something for us big guys?
Really enjoying this color combination. Happy Monday !
Any help appreciated!
Heya fellow big guys, a little bit about me before I get to the ask, I’m 6ft even, about 400 lbs with a 62 inch waistband, not as bad on the BMI as I sound though thanks to good genetics but I gained a lot after breaking my spine a couple of years ago. I also have particular taste in clothes, grew up in a hippie household where boho chic was what we all wore, mostly handmade stuff that my wildly young hippie grandma would make for us all; breezey, comfortable, and a lot of loose, flowey linen.
This brings me to now, ive been neglecting my wardrobe since i left home, all plain tshirts and gym shorts, I refuse to wear cargo pants, jeans, or khaki pants. However, boho is beckoning me again, and I would really like to return to my loose and comfortable linen days, but all the boho/harem style clothing I have found online are from either dubious sources or simply not sized for big and tall, so i was hopeful you guys might k ow of a trustworthy source to get my hippie dippie ways back 🙏Shein, Temu, Etsy, and Amazon have all been tried, as a reference point!
I am desperately looking for somewhere to buy a pair of men’s pants similar to these examples. High waisted, slightly flared end, preferably some kind of material that holds its structure, and with that kind of cumberbund waistband section. This is part of my ideal wedding outfit so any help is greatly appreciated! Would love to find them in a darker brown color too if possible. Thank you!!!
I could use some advice. I’m 5'9" and have lost about 170 lbs. I’m currently around 260 lbs, and losing that weight has opened up a whole new world when it comes to where I can shop and what brands I can wear.
The only problem is that I feel like I’m stuck between sizes. In most brands, a 2XL is just a little too snug, while a 3XL can sometimes feel oversized and too loose.
I’ve found some button-down shirts that I really like and was wondering how they look with a cotton shirt underneath, and how the fit seems. Do you use button down shirts? I’d also love some advice on color combinations. Are there certain colors I should have that would make it easy to mix and match different shirts and pants?
I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from people who have been through a similar transition with clothing sizes.
I’m not sure if this was really the right thread to ask this in but I’m needing advice on brand of shirts to try out to help hide my gut. I’ve always had a difficult body style to dress in because my chest measures 50” around while only being 5’7. I am currently losing weight but it seems every shirt I buy to fit my upper half in ends up snugging down around my belly as I am 250 with a beer gut and love handles that I’m slowly shredding off. 2XL helps to not snug against my stomach or sides but leaves my upper chest and shoulders looking baggy like I didn’t know how to properly buy clothes, xl gives me the nice fit around my chest shoulders and biceps that shows I workout but then once I get to my stomach it looks like I can’t say no to a donut. Really just wanting to find nice shirts I can wear to the gym/casual wear and not feel like a cased sausage or look like I threw a trash bag over my torso and called it a day
