Thoughts on - Singapore Vs Indonesia

From Glenn to Shah Shahiran to Lionel Tan to Jacob Mahler — I mean, can you guys see their confidence boom? Their performances have skyrocketed 🚀**…** what do you guys think?

This is something special… we expected step-by-step improvement, but this was a staircase of improvement — why is gavin Lee different from the others? Yes he definitely brings in culture, a huge one, the other part is probably his education, NTU degree - which I feel is also playing a huge part 🤓 the only gaffer that I know of who’s highly educated..

Edit: Gavin Lee has a Degree in sports science & management - NTU.

Thoughts on Vietnam vs Singapore?

Our defence; stood tall from the 1st minute to the last - this is brilliant for rhe amount of pressure they put upon us 🫡,

Midfield; kyoga has been the heart (as usual), twisting and turning with ball when man was so tight on him, not to mention the last ditch sliding “swap” tackle inside box to stop a potential goal + won back possession…

Attack; H.Steward was good with his physicality / playing the false 9 sort of player role, holding up, making passes great…

At round 60ish min we could see Vietnam players’ hopes dropping down ↘️ - but we haven’t even bring in our actual attackers yet.. I started laughing at this point… (on the other hand Vietnam already brought in another Brazilian sub 😬)

It was unfortunate that Shawal couldn’t convert the header! Ilhan has started growing in confidence, those touch, and instincts to make solo attacks… nice!

Gavin; has very quickly learned the players capabilities… quite fast tbh… - for example playing H.Sterward in CAM, looked like a risk but paid off quite decently, he continues to cook 🧑‍🍳

Overall enjoyed the confidence, the grit, press plays, the set pieces.. 👌

Girona 2023/24: The Season Nobody Saw Coming — in 3 Cards

A simple three-card look back at Girona’s unforgettable 2023/24 season. I tried to capture the unlikely squad, the fearless performances and the historic finish.

Did I represent the season fairly, or is there an important player or moment I missed?

A Division 2 player with no fear — Haissem Hassan taking on Argentina 🇦🇷

Never heard of Haissem Hassan before this. A Division 2 player showing no fear, taking on Argentina’s defence in the World Cup Round of 16. Those dribbles were a real “who is this guy?” moment🔥.
