What bit me??

Started off as a swollen itchy lump, turned into a blister, started scabbing over but indenting into my leg, and now it’s just grim. I went to the doctors at the point of the 3rd pic and had a week of antibiotics but it’s only continued to get worse. Now got the strongest dose of some different antibiotics so hoping that sorts it.
Does anybody have any idea what could’ve bitten me?! I’m in the UK in the East Midlands.
Everything online points to a brown recluse, but I think that’s incredibly unlikely given where I am.

Decapitated dragonfly
Just found this decapitated dragonfly on a dog walk. Its legs were still moving. Made me feel really weird.
How does this happen??!!
It’s not like something has eaten it as the head is still right there being carried away by ants. And what are the ants gonna do with it?
