i know some very very basic phrases. i can't fluently translate most things. i want to leave Duo, because of the ai, but i just don't know where to go.

also, anyone know any good Welsh rock/metal bands, and some movies/shows? just so i can hear people actually saying full sentences and stuff.

i just finished all my schoolwork, and by the skin of my teeth didn't get my devices taken away for a month (i had one assignment missing...) and they promised we could go to the mall then just "oh sorry we're too tired to go out" and broke their promise. they give the dog more rewards than me. ohhhhhh the perks of being the middle sibling.

anyways, anyone have ideas for a way i could reward myself? i already got some chocolate milk but i want something that affirms the fact that, hey, i made it through school alive.

i started learning Welsh very recently, as a random interest. for quick note, i'm autistic/ADHD and committing to things is VERY hard for me, so a 21 day streak is amazing for me (even if my parents dismiss it because i'm "putting time into learning a useless and dead language"). i started learning it because it's an interesting language and my name is Welsh/Irish, plus it's something i actually focus on and enjoy.

i use Duolingo. i've actually found it quite useful. i know a decent amount of phrases already (bore da, Kyren dw i (good morning, i am Kyren), etc) and i've found Duo much more enjoyable than other language apps where you just read a ton of stuff. but it uses and awful lot of ai, which i am against.

only thing is, when i was decently kinda-sorta-fluent in French, i watched French movies to figure out common talking and actually get a feel for what the language is like irl. but because Welsh is a dead language and most Welsh speakers know English, nothing is translated to Welsh. no enjoyable music, no movies or shows i like.

idk any Welsh speakers got movies/series/band recs in Welsh? or anyone that shares this pain?

okay so our fictive Howl (yes he's fine with me talking about him by name) has two different medias to his name- a book and a movie. both are very different stories. yet ours seems to do "shifts" of remembering the book or remembering the movie- and this includes appearances sometimes (even though he canonically has an ever-changing appearance). hell, his accent switches.

the thing is, he seems to exist as one person. there's never been two of him in headspace. but they seem like seperate people.

any advice?? i'm so confused.

so i'm transmasc mhm yup but i don't have any proper stuff for passing. i mean like style and presentation, yeah it's good, but i look and feel really feminine. i'm asking here because other teens might have advice? idk.

i want to start using boxers/shorts (for passing/euphoria AND for convenience because womens' underwear is so uncomfy) but IDK WHAT TO TELL MY PARENTS.

do i just go ahead and ask? do i tell them it's because i don't like wearing womens' stuff? do i wait till i'm older? AAAA

As stated in the title, we've received multiple attacks on our system and being told we're not real because we're mostly fine with doubles. It's nothing personal with the sub, but rather a few people that need to grow up and learn that other users are human too. It's not every day you get home from something and see a message saying you're not real and to slit your wrists.

Genuinely some people need help. Again, not directed at everyone, just a select few. If you think it's okay to harrass someone, you need to rethink your choices.

Anyways, with that off my chest, I'll be leaving the subreddit.

we told our therapist (yippe, she accepts us :3 ) and she said the way we described it a loooong while ago sounded like a version of an internal family system. something along those lines. like we accidentally formed.

maybe not tulpa/willo, but rather we did it ourselves without realizing it. i'm confused, is it an ifs or still a normal system?

so we've been with this therapist for a while, but just haven't known how to tell her we're plural. i think last time we had a session, we explained how our thought process is like multiple voices- so HOPEFULLY she doesn't think we're delulu.

we thought about saying something along the lines of "i've done a ton of reasearch and feel like i'm plural but i don't have enough memory gaps to feel like i fit a disorder" but we're bodily a minor and therefore nobody believes us about anything. idk, i feel like telling a therapist would be so much easier because we can tell her about our internal issues, but at the same time i don't know how to tell her.

from an actor, i've been in plenty of showcases and shows in various community theaters (directed at kids so i understand) but i don't think some people realize how it affects the actors. not only does it ruin the audience's experience, but i've been thrown off from my own songs because of grown adults in the crowd.

a good example is my most recent role, i was in Aladdin jr as the lead guard (Razoul). in my main song, One Jump Ahead, it's shortened for the jr version- but there was almost half a row of adults just singing along and vibing. now, it's fine that they were having fun, but they were singing the original version with different lyrics. i was lucky to have the ensemble pick it up, but i got so thrown off. if it was a solo, i would've been dead.

not to mention half the crowd was singing A Whole New World, and our Aladdin was thrown off so many times.

overall, not only are people around you annoyed by your screaming of lyrics, but actors get thrown off all the time. we don't care if it's your childhood movie, you should know basic theater etiquette if you're over the age of 12.
