Hammocking

Hi there,

i am currently thinking of hiking the tmb in the next few weeks. Since i did not find much about hammocking, i was wondering if anyone here did the trail with only a hammock and a tarp?

I know that i have to plan the track differently because many sections end above the treeline.

So my questions are:

  1. Is it possible to do the track with only a hammock?

  2. How many of the official campsites/bivoucs do have trees? 20%? 50%? All of them?

  3. If i need to wildcamp, is it possible to adjust the sections that for example i will reach a hut middays, eat something and keep walking until i will find a spot? Or will they be way to long? I am good with daily 1500 - 2000hm and 20-25km

I know the rules about wildcamping and the consequences. Doing it for years and i know how to act. Id like to use a hammock because it is lighter, i like it more than a tent and in my opinion, it is better for nature if set correctly.

Thanks for your help :)

Jobmarkt Stuckateurmeister

Hallo zusammen,

Vielen Dank schonmal!

Plasterer/Drywalling/Restoration/insulating facades/painting

Hej there,

i am m33 from Germany and thinking about moving out of my country.

In about 2 months i will get my diploma for "Stuckateurmeister".

Since there is no comparable job titel in sweden, i wrote the main subjectives in the titel. It is the highest graduation for this job here in germany.

I always wanted to start my own Business (already working on my own), but because of the current economic situation, i dont want to keep going for it here in Germany.

The effort you have to put in is way too much for what you will get.

I do get a good amount of money, way over average, but this aint the point. My Lifequality here is suffering more and more and thats way more important than money. (Have been to Sweden 2 times already, so i can tell off my experience, that the swedish lifestyle suits me better than over here in germany)

So my questions are:

  1. How is the job market for above mentioned work if i wont work on my own in the beginning?

Of course, i will learn swedish as fast as possible, even before moving and i know that it will take a while to speak fluently.

  1. what are the chances to build a working buisness in this industry? I know, language will be the biggest problem at first, but that is of course something i can (and will) work on.

What else could be a problem?

  1. I am really interested in restoration(and i can do that type of work), would be great to find some work in this part. Do you need any special certificates for this work? And is there demand for it? ( of course mostly in the bigger cities only).

  2. Generally, are german citziens with those qualifications wanted? I mean, google says that german craftsmen are wanted everywhere in the world, but is it true?

Would you rather place an order for german craftmen that you dont know or rather svensk craftmen in any case?

Any expats working in this industry, also coming from another country? How was your start? Do you regret your decision?

Maybe an important note:

I am not depressed or anything like that.

This idea has been in my mind for about 10 years, since the first time i visited sweden. But getting my diploma feels like a good "ending" for my life here in Germany to move out and settle somewhere else.

If it wont work, it wont work. But if i dont try it, i will never know.

Thank you already for your answers :)

Angezogen in Kokostabs.

Einfach was genetisches vielleicht?
