Who here can’t build an app?

Now with Claude code, etc. I’m just wondering who on here still can’t build an app. It seems like this sub used to be way more active back before the days of AI

A website to find all the competitors for your app

In the past, every time I’d come up with a new app idea, I’d go through the grind of making multiple searches on the App Store and reading descriptions for apps that are similar to my ideas. It’s a boring, painful process, so I decided I’d make something to do it for me.

https://www.featurescan.com works like this:

  1. You describe your idea or app and it generates search terms for you to choose from
  2. It runs 3 searches on the App Store with 3 different search terms
  3. It reads the description of each result and picks those that are relevant to your idea/app
  4. It lists all the features each app has— those that your app and the competitor share and those that don’t
  5. It gives an in-depth analysis of your idea/app based on the results it pulled and gives it a novelty score
  6. A chatbot is provided for you to ask questions about the results

Since I made it, I’ve been using it every day. It truly helps the ideation process. You’d be surprised for how many apps fit your description.

Its still sort of in beta so you might run into some bugs and there’s still a lot more that can be added/improved

Give it a try and tell me what you think!

Looking for a pianist to learn my pieces

Idk what go label this, but essentially it’s like a reverse commission haha

I have some great piano pieces that a pianist looking for new works would probably be interested in learning. I’m a pianist myself, I can play anything, but I don’t want to spend my time learning, perfecting and recording my own compositions.

I’ve seen some posts on here before that were from pianists looking for original works to play, for free I assume. Ideally that’s the case (I promise, you’ll like what I wrote), but I’m also willing to pay someone to do this.

For the sake of virality, I want to start with a piece I wrote using themes from the Monster House score. Here is the piece: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mc5rgOgkzhTgCr0xStWKGxYoRP7472n0/view?usp=sharing

Let me know in the comments if you’re interested or send me a DM, thanks!

I made a new sheet music marketplace

I’m a composer and I make software on the side and I’ve always been brainstorming ways to increase the reach for the music I write.

I noticed a trend on YouTube where people play other amateur composer’s work and add the link to the scores in the description. My thought is they might as well get a kickback if someone buys from that link, so that’s the platform I decided to make.

I call it SheetFleet and anyone can list and sell their music and add a commission rate for each piece. When a piece sells, the customer gets an affiliate link and they get commission every time someone buys the music through that link.

Check it out! https://sheetfleet.co

Thoughts? What else should I add?
