What strain of bartonella do you have?

I’ve just ordered the Armin tickplex plus and realised it only tests for B.henslae..

Is this because it’s the most common strain - is anyone actually negative for henslae and positive for a different strain? Gahhhh

For reference I’m in the UK :)

Is HBOT safe with babesia ?

I’ve been treating my potential babesia with herbs for 5 months.

I can’t find a clear answer on if HBOT is safe to do whilst having babesia?

IGENEX or ARMIN: UK

Quick summary: I had rapid onset of symptoms in October 2025, started treating for Lyme with abx and herbs 6 weeks later and have been doing so ever since (6months in now). I have no idea when I was bitten, could’ve been a reactivation or new bite I have no idea. But I have neuro symptoms and systemic infection symptoms, and a POSITIVE NHS ELISA Lyme test.

I am now looking for a full panel for testing - but in all honesty feeling quite apprehensive with testing. I believe a false positive is just as damaging as a false negative so quite nervous about it all as I know all testing has its weaknesses.

ESPECIALLY as I have been treating for 6 months now I’m worried it will heavily affect my results.

I am torn between the Armin Tickplex plus, or the IGENEX 41B panel.

For the record, I am still having some systemic infection symptoms such as swollen painful lymph nodes, but my white blood count has normalised now (it was high at the start of symptoms) so I’m hoping by body would mount an antibody response..

Any advice welcomed.

Any south tickets going?

Heya - I take my little sister to do south every year but unfortunately couldn’t afford to take us both due to falling sick this year :((

Just wondering if anyone has any last minute south tickets they are looking to get rid of?

I live 10 mins away from the festival so pls drop me a DM even day of if you’re struggling to sell, and I will send a donation for the ticket.

I also always pay it forward when I can!! Thank you 💛

*NOT SEEKING FOR MEDICAL ADVICE TO ADHERE TO RULES - I AM UNDER DRS AND AM JUST SEEKING OPINIONS AND DISCUSSION*

I fell unwell in October with Lyme Disease, and recently had some blood smears done privately to see if I had any other bacteria’s/parasites passed to me. He has sent me these images, and told me he’s found babesia, bartonella and mycoplasma. I am 6 months into symptoms now.

Having my doubts (denial?) which I get with every new test I have - but I’d be very greatful to get your opinion if you think these are legit findings, or simply artefacts? I assumed bartonella was very hard to diagnose via smear? I could be wrong I’m no expert.

If any of you are familiar with the tick borne illness world or the feeling of being chronically unwell I’m sure you can understand my desperation for answers so please be kind and honest.

If it helps i am in the UK, where these are believed to be rare (or widely underdiagnosed?) but it’s a whole mess with tick borne infection - and I have had PLENTY of exposure working with wildlife, hiking in Scotland etc etc.

Thank you :/

Recently had some blood smears done with Dr Walter. He has found babesia, bartonella and mycoplasma. I am 6 months into symptoms now.

Having my doubts (denial?) which I get with every new test I have - but if anyone is experienced in microbiology/blood microscopy, I’d be greatful to get your opinion if you think these are be legit diagnosis, or simply artefacts? I assumed bartonella was very hard to diagnose via smear? I could be wrong.

He is widely trusted in atleast my immediate Lyme community, but also do not want to treat babesia unnecessarily. *sigh*

If it helps I do have symptoms of both, and a confirmed Lyme test. I am in the UK - we have very minute numbers of confirmed babesia cases here. However very possible I have caught bart from my cat.

Thank you :/

Hey everyone - question about hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

To quickly summarise I started noticing symptoms in October 2025, so six months ago. I figured out it was Lyme two months later in December and I’ve been treating with combination antibiotics and herbals ever since (4/5months). It’s been a rough journey, and I think mine is likely a reactivation/old bite.

I have had a positive Lyme test, however haven’t been tested for co-infections as my LLMD treats based on suspicion of co infections and my protocol is broad so covers them anyway.

Anyway, I have a lot of neurological symptoms and there is a Centre near me that offers subsidised hyperbaric oxygen therapy - however I’m quite worried as I’ve read a few things that say that Bartonella thrives in high oxygen environments.

I’m not 100% sure if I have Bartonella, but one of my main symptoms has been painful swollen lymph nodes so I’m pretty sure I have it. I’ve tried to research into whether it’s safe to do hyperbaric with Bartonella but I’m hearing mixed things

Does anyone here have experience treating with hyperbaric oxygen whilst also having Bartonella as a co-infection?

Is it a safe thing to do?

Thanks

Recently moved out of mold, due to chronic Lyme.. and my brand new flat has had a leak under the sink I’ve just found.. looks like it could’ve been happening for a few days. It’s incredibly slow, and the concrete underneath is completely dry.

But the MDF was very wet and is now is slightly warped, not sure my landlord will rip it out as it doesn’t look bad.

What can I do ?? I’ve got a hairdryer running on it, and will leave a fan on overnight. I also have underfloor heating on and have isolated the leak. Only the MDF is affected as far as I can tell, shall I push for the whole cabinet to be ripped out?

Anything else I can do in the meantime?

Very worried :(
