Best way to play 4K Remux on Valerion Pro

Hi!

I have a Valerion Pro and I’m trying to play large 4K Remux files directly from an HDD connected via USB.

Some lower bitrate files work perfectly, but high bitrate Remuxes (70–80 Mbps) don’t. I’ve tried Nova Player, Kodi, Just Player and VLC, but either I get a black screen/audio only or very bad stuttering.
I’m guessing the projector’s built-in media player just can’t handle the bitrate.

What would be the cheapest solution to this? Would I need an external media player like a Shield, or are there cheaper devices that can handle these files properly?

Thanks!

Left side of image sits lower than the right

Hi,
as you can see from the image, the projected image is non parallel with the screen, with the left side lower than the right one.

I checked the level of both projector (Valerion Pro) and screen, and the projector is centered and parallel to the screen.

I can resolve it with the auto-keystone, but I heard that it affects the image quality and It produces a visible light border around the image (which is also oblique).

Anyone know why this happens, or if auto-keystone is safe to use here without real quality loss?

Thanks!

Are streaming devices really worth it?

Just got a Valerion Pro, and was thinking if a streaming device (like Apple TV 4K) is an essential upgrade, or are the built-in Google TV apps good enough for streaming (Prime, Netflix..)?

Tell me your experience, thanks!

Anti-RBE Solution from Valerion

Is this solution actually working? It sounds too good to be true.

I can’t stand rbe (and laser speckle) and wanted to try the Valerion Pro.

Thanks!

Help me: first 4K projector

Hi,
First time buying a projector. I’m searching for a 4K native for a dark room, 100-120" screen.

I discovered that I’m very sensitive to RBE.
I've noticed it in the BenQ W5700, especially in action scenes.

Budget: ~€800 used

(was thinking about Sony VPL-VW260ES but maybe there are other solutions)

thanks!

XGIMI Horizon 20 Pro - Dolby Vision + DBLE

Hi!

I’m a newbie and was thinking of buying the XGIMI Horizon 20 Pro, but I read about an issue where the Dolby Vision + DBLE makes dark scenes look dark blue or purple instead of black.

I heard XGIMI released some firmware updates. For those who own it and are on the latest update: is it actually fixed now?

Thanks!

XGIMI Horizon 20 pro as a first setup

Hi!
I’m looking for my first home cinema and I found a used XGIMI horizon pro 20 for 1100€.

The room is fully blacked-out and I’m thinking about a 100” screen, mostly for films. Image quality matters a lot to me (rich colors, deep contrast, as close to a real cinema as possible).

I also need a motorized screen, are they reliable or do they warp easily over time?

Total newbie, so any basic tips are welcome too. Thanks!

I want to build a sort of home theatre in my basement but I don’t know much about projectors.
What are the pros and cons of the Samsung Premiere LSP7T?
