I’ve seen a lot of discourse that if you don’t like Elita as the next prime you’re sexist. Now, sure, there are probably sexists out there but from a writing standpoint it’s just a shitty decision.

In the Netflix series when were introduced to Skylynx, Alpha Trion tells him that taking the matrix by force isn’t how they do things and he promptly banishes him to try and learn some empathy.

In the comic, it’s shown that Elita is a little confused considering she thinks Optimus and the Autobots and Decepticons have been living it up on earth yet they’ve been sleeping for eons.

Instead of just asking him, she goes off on him and tries to let him let her essentially destroy earth to save cybertron which isn’t what an autobot would do.

On Cybertron, she’s poisoned the minds of all Autobots that Optimus is evil and abandoned them.

But from the Ark crew, they could see Cybertron was lost and knew they had to leave to get more sources of Energon and find a way to take back their home. It’s unclear if Elita and the others chose to stay or they weren’t allowed to go but from the way Elita acts, she chose to stay. Which is dumb to blame Optimus since she made her own independent decision and is now blaming someone else.

From the clues of Starscreams past, factions weren’t a big thing on Cybertron with those in the middle (like Jetfire and Ulchtar) were clueless to the bigger conflict going on. With how Optimus and Elita talks, it seems Megatron was a big part in the violence which spurred Optimus to fight back but he eventually became as bad as him. Now with his kindness and determination and courageousness, he probably got the Matrix that way. But it’s established that being peaceful is generally the way of Cybertronians. Along with talking things out.

So Elita going ham on Optimus and others like Cliffjumper makes for an interesting character but not enough to turn her into a prime.

Arcee had amazing character development from caring for Carly to aiding Ultra Magnus and becoming his successor. They put more energy into her character that Elita imo but something that’s interesting is when Elita digs at Arcee, the latter punches her instantly. And even though they apologized, the way DWJ framed Elita’s character made me think a lot of Autobots dislike her. Almost like Elita is known for her violence.

So when it comes to her being a Prime, it felt rushed. If a bully comes and beats the shit outta you and then tries to take your stuff, you wouldn’t really respect them and give the stuff over. But for Elita? She kicks Optimus around, bitch slaps his ass and then he goes “Y’know what? You made some great points here’s the Matrix.”

I would’ve preferred if they made Elita have to build up her character more or Optimus dies and passes it on to her and now she’s gotten what she wanted and is a Prime but has to learn to pains for being a leader.

Instead they just make everyone cool with it instantly. I think Elita would be an excellent Prime and the way DWJ wrote her made her a flawed character as are all the Autobots and it made her more interesting but just the way Optimus handed off the Matrix felt off.

And the other Autobots following her? Extra off. Maybe Jazz is a spy but idk. It just felt very rushed.

I know Pokémon goes off the different types/colours and I do too but currently for MTG I got all my cards in alphabetical order. Is there a better way to do it? Do you do it by set or is there a type system too? I'd like to organize them somewhat by creature/land/enchantment/etc but is that the proper way to do it or is there no proper way?

Any tips or suggestions are highly appreciated.

I picked up Vol 5 today and I’m a little confused. I know Cliffjumper was collecting supplies for Elita and her forces on Cybertron to go to Earth but then it shows him driving away and suddenly Elita and Cliff are on Earth, no explanation. They just showed up in the middle of a random Autobot v Decepticon battle.

Am I missing an issue? Or did they legit just write it that way?

Also to add on to this, the Optimus gives up the Matrix makes no sense. How can they go from Elita trying to Decepticon her way into getting the matrix and then Optimus is like “yknow what? You got a point.” WHAT?? That makes no sense. This is a conflict that they resolved as if it meant nothing. Elita beats him into the dirt and then she cries after he won’t give her the Matrix and then Optimus gives it to her and the other Autobots (who are shown to be horrified) go “yeah screw earth” and they leave.

Arcee becoming a Magnus had more weight than this. It feels like ever since Thundercracker became an autobot and I mean like instantly there’s no real build up. He’s like “yeah I’m an autobot” and is sporting the insignia a few pages later along with Jetfire, they’ve been coasting off vibes.

Megatron being crazy and eating Tailbreaker I mean I guess it works but it felt sudden and kinda forced. He’s just instantly crazy. In the DWJ run, things were slowly paced and building up to the eventual battle which was awesome but now everything is rushed.

And it can’t be Kirkman deciding this since bro took his time on Invincible and TWD. They’re just rushing this series now.

One of the most interesting things IDW did was make Megatron into an Autobot. It was a character decision that I loved seeing the once tyrannical Megatron come full circle and realize he lost his way just to become a hero, even if he didn’t think he was.

We got Thundercracker as an Autobot now and it was hinted early on that Soundwave might make a good one too (but he’s too far gone at this point).

I don’t think if the Autobots win the war and there’s peace on Cybertron that Megatron will ever become an autobot because Bumblebee is dead. In IDW, Bumblebee’s words and wisdom plus him being shot right in front of Megatron swayed him into becoming an Autobot.

With how the Autobots are in EU (Autobots on earth, cybertronians on cybertron bc Elita ain’t no freaking Autobot she’s too prone to violence and was a-ok with sucking Earth dry to fuel Cybertron which isn’t what the Autobots do) if the Autobots do win, they’d have to fight through Elita’s forces and retake cybertron, there would be a very different outcome to the war.

I know the comics have made it be “okay” but my favourite moment was Cliffjumper realizing how unhinged Elita is and sending Shredhead to earth to save Carly but also for his new friends’ protection.

Given characters drop like rocks every issue, the wiser spoken characters are probably all gonna be dead by the end of this with the characters more prone to violence left behind. Megatron is probably going to die alongside Optimus leaving new characters behind to fill the void.

So Epic has all these little games for the Star Wars event which are fine but I was wondering if they'd add lightsabers back to the game. Like when you walk up to a portal, walk through and come back with a saber. They've done it basically for as long as I've been playing fortnite and I was looking forward to it.

The games are fine but BR, OG, Reload and Blitz are really the game modes people are in the most.

Or are they doing a "new direction" aka more "creative" games cough AI cough and less on the actual content of cool stuff.
