The Pre-order is live on my website, JellyLabWatches.com
This is something I've been experimenting with for the last couple of months and I think I finally have it to a place that I'm happy with it.
I've always wanted a cherry blossom themed Casio but there wasn't anything out there that quite fit what I was looking for. I recently got a UV printer and so I immediately started working on my own modded version of a Cherry Blossom AE-1200. I UV printed cherry blossoms on the rubber strap and the face plate, and additionally added a pink gel filter.
Additionally I 3D printed a color-match presentation box (seen in the third photo) for the watch to go in when I'm not wearing.
So I previously made a post on the subreddit that was quite popular, showing off my Cherry Blossom Royale.
I made some improvements to my design and printing process that really brightened up the colors. I also 3D printed a color-matched watch box for it and made a variation with a matte silver full metal case.
Hey there! You may have seen my original post showing off the Cherry Blossom Royale I was experimenting with. Well I've made some improvements to the overall color and clarity of the prints as well as a few tweaks to improve durability, and I am finally ready to begin a pre-order.
A two-week pre-order on my website, jellylabwatches.com starting on Friday 5/22 at noon CST. They will be individually numbered (laser engraved) with the edition number. The total edition count will be determined by the number of orders within the period. Ex. if there are 50 pre-orders, 1/50, 2/50, etc. They will be numbered based on the timestamp of the order so earlier orders equal lower edition numbers.
I also 3D print custom watch boxes in-house here at JellyLab, so each watch comes with a color matched presentation box.
So I recently go in my first UV printer (EufyMake E1), yesterday I began testing it for modding.
I incorporated cherry blossoms up and down the rubber strap and also added a few to the faceplate to try to tie it together. I am not totally happy with the detail of the cherry blossoms and am still looking to hone that in.
There are also a few places where the strap was slightly uneven (bowed) when printing, so you can see a bit of "gunk" around the petals above the world time.
