WE DID IT BOYS! SIX MONTHS SOBER🥳🎉

I have been so freaking excited for this day, I cannot believe I actually did it and made it this far. After weeks of drinking every night and spending every last bit of money I had on alcohol (as well as some pretty traumatic experiences while drunk), I decided to quit drinking for good.

After some determination, a lot of willpower, and fighting off more temptation than I thought I’d face; I’m finally here. Six full freaking months! I’m so happy, I genuinely might cry over this, it means so much to me that I’ve gotten this far.

Y’all, these past few months have been difficult but I’m not backing down now😤 Next milestone is going to be maintaining sobriety until my birthday, after that it’s for life.

WOOOOOOOO!!!!

In the BUP queue, are there any quicker alternatives to getting on T?

I’ve only been in the queue for about a year and a half, but I know the wait times are incredibly long and I could be waiting for years. I have a friend who got on T through private care and I’m wondering if anyone has any advice or recommendations on where to go for things like that?

I know I might sound impatient but I don’t know how much longer I can wait for this and I also would like to plan/budget for any potential private care I might pursue.

Many thanks in advance :)

Accidentally got people to call me by my name instead of my dead name at work

It was a bit of an accident and due to a quick cover up that I had to do a few months back.

My friends came to see me at work about six months ago, and they only call me by my chosen name but I’ve told them to use my middle name around people who don’t know I’m trans. They asked one of my coworkers if I was there and used my name at first, which confused him because obviously they don’t know who that is, but then they used my middle name and he came to get me.

Afterwards he asked me about my name and I kinda panicked and just told him it was a nickname, but apparently he really liked it and thought it was cool so that’s literally all he calls me now. It’s just been him using that name since then, but today another one of my coworkers said it and I genuinely got confused and a little shocked because she’s never said that before.

I think it’s a little funny how people just go along with things even though they have no need to. It’s even more surprising considering I work at a store that’s under a Christian organisation, so I expected more questions 😭
