C diff

How can you tell if your c diff infection is getting better when you have diarrhea all of the time? I usually take imodium several times a day. So how can I tell if it's getting better when I can't take imodium? Any one else have any experience with this? My GI isn't any help with this.

Saccharomyces boulardii question

Does saccharomyces boulardii give anyone else gas? I can't take florcastor because I have a milk allergy so I've been taking a regular saccharomyces boulardii probiotic, 5 billion once a day for 5 weeks and I've noticed that I've been more gassy. I'm currently treating c diff with vancomycin. My GI doctor hasn't been very helpful with this issue. I don't know whether I should keep taking or not. Any advice?

Anyone have any success with Yesintek?

Has anyone had a positive experience with yesintek? I'm new to biologics. Yesintek seems to make my diarrhea even worse. I've had Crohn's disease for 29 years and I lost my colon because of it. I've had my j-pouch for 28 years. I have also been battling c diff as well.

C. Diff and Stelara question

Hello, My doctor wants me to use Stelara 90mgs every 4 weeks instead of every 8 weeks with an active c.diff infection. I'm also on oral vancomycin 125mgs 4 times a day for 30 days for the c diff infection. I've voiced my concerns to my doctor, but he swears this will help. I'm scared to shut my immune system off even more with an active infection Has anyone else gone through this? And if so was the extra Stelara doses helpful? Thanks

Saccharomyces boulardii anxiety?

Hello, I was just diagnosed with c.diff after being on many rounds of antibiotics for hydrogen dominant sibo. My GP suggested that I take saccharomyces boulardii probiotic twice a day with vancomycin. I've started having horrible boughts of anxiety and jitteriness. Has anyone else had this issue? My doctor's office is closed for the weekend and I don't know if I should stop the saccharomyces boulardii or not. Ps I don't have a colon I have a j-pouch. Thanks

Mbiota elemental diet

Has anyone had success with the Mbiota elemental diet for hydrogen dominant sibo? I'm on day 2 of 14, and I'm questioning whether or not to keep going. Thanks

White spot above lip

I noticed today that I have this slightly itchy white patch above my lip. I've been on antibiotics for a crohn's flare. Does this look like yeast? Thanks

Sibo and depression

Does anyone else feel completely hopeless? I've been battling hydrogen dominant sibo for 6 long months with no end in sight. I've tried xifaxan, flagyl, tetracycline, cipro, oregano oil, and berberine. I'll feel a little bit better temporarily. But then it comes right back. I used to weight 125 pounds. I now weight 98 pounds. I feel like I'm going to starve to death 😭 I can only eat chicken with salt nothing else. If I try to eat white rice or cooked carrots I blow up like a balloon with gas. I'm at my wits end. I also have have severe Crohn's disease. I'm so tired of fighting 💔😭

Stelara and hydrogen dominant SIBO

I'm going to be starting Stelara for my Crohn's disease. But I'm currently doing oregano oil and berberine for my hydrogen dominant sibo. I've messaged my doctor, but I am curious to see if anyone else has used those supplements with Stelara?

Does anyone else feel like they have to pass gas all the time? I burp constantly as well. But I've noticed that I've had more lower stomach/pelvic area gas as well as diarrhea.
