Anyone tried kids probiotics from Hiya?

I’ve been looking into probiotics for kids and I’m curious what other parents have had luck with. My kid is pretty picky, so I’m trying to avoid anything that feels like candy or has a bunch of added sugar. A friend of mine uses products from Hiya and when I was searching about them they had probiotics aswell, considering using those and would like recommendations if anyone has used them before.

[acne] Anyone used pr*biotics for acne?

Has anyone had success using probiotics to treat cystic acne and/or flair ups?

My history - 30 y.o. female, just finished my Accutane journey 2 years ago. My skin has been relatively clear up until this past year. Started seeing flair up consistently, esp. bad during my cycle.

I recently began wondering about the connection between gut health and acne. Has anyone had success incorporating probiotics into their acne treatment? If so, what kind?

Decided to try a “mild” probiotic and started slow, still had bad side effects.

The label suggests 3 capsules a day and I have only been taking 1 per day and also have been spacing it out. I’ve taken 4 capsules and my stomach is just….not happy and not the same. After doing some reading, I suspect it’s the inulin? Any insight? Also to add — I have a healthy diet, I wouldn’t say I have perfect fiber intake but I love my veggies and overall am balanced. I started taking this more for mood/energy/clarity and have heard wonderful things about this brand (called Standard Process)

You know how some people on here report amazing results and others barely see a difference on the same dose? I found a research proposal that might explain why.

The study is looking at whether your gut microbiome, specifically the short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) your gut bacteria produce, acts as a modifier for how GLP-1 receptor agonists work in your body. Basically, different gut bacteria might mean different people get different effects from the same drug.

It's focused on the South Asian metabolic phenotype specifically, since that population has really high rates of metabolic syndrome and tends to respond differently to these kinds of treatments.

If this research pans out, it could eventually mean doctors test your gut microbiome before prescribing to predict how well you'll respond. Or even that adjusting your microbiome (through diet, probiotics, whatever) could improve how well the drug works.

are probiotics worth it for constipation?

thinking of giving probiotics a shot for constipation but genuinely not sure if they actually make a difference, has anyone here tried them and seen real results or is it just one of those things that works for some people and not others?

I've not got any good results from probiotics so far and I've used a mix of supplements too, out of everything only emma relief had some positive results for me, but still want to hear from people who have actually had success with probiotics for constipation.

Finally figured out why my probiotics weren’t “working” – Akkermansia changed it

I’ve been cycling through different probiotic strains for over a year, trying everything from multi-strain blends to specific ones for bloating and immunity. Some helped a little, but I kept hitting this wall where the benefits would plateau or just fade after a few weeks. Started feeling like maybe I was missing something bigger.

Then I stumbled onto Akkermansia muciniphila. Not your typical probiotic you swallow in a capsule, but a next-level resident bacterium that lives in the mucus lining of your gut. It basically trains your body to produce more mucus, strengthens the gut barrier, and helps keep inflammation in check. Low levels are super common these days (thanks to processed food, stress, and antibiotics).

I decided to support it the natural way instead of jumping straight to fancy supplements. Loaded up on polyphenol-rich foods (pomegranate, blueberries, dark chocolate, green tea), added some resistant starch and fiber sources that feed it, and even started paying more attention to the oral-gut axis (who knew tongue scraping and proper chewing could matter?). The difference wasn’t a lightning bolt, but after about a month things started shifting, less random bloating, more consistent energy, and my other probiotics actually seemed to work better. Even noticed my mood felt more stable, which I wasn’t expecting.

If you want a clear, non-hype breakdown of how Akkermansia works with the gut lining, the oral-gut connection, and realistic ways to support it naturally, check out NextMicrobiome gut health support guide. It’s one of the better deep dives I’ve found that actually explains the mechanisms without trying to sell you anything. That’s exactly why I’m sharing it here.

Anyone else chasing better results with their probiotic routine?

What’s worked (or not worked) for you when trying to strengthen your gut barrier?

Any probiotic actually helped your gut?

I have tried like 3 different ones from CVS and they either dont work or make me more bloated. My stomach's been all over the place and I need something that actually helps
