50gal living soil bioactive 3x3

Just some LST progress pics, will update soon once they fill out even more. Bumped ppfd, tied photos down lower than the autos, and they're rocking hard in there. Beds a sponge already, thriving ecosystem already with amazing fungal growth, thousands of worms, roves, dozens of stone centipedes, and lots more.

All plants getting some intense-ish LST (at least 20+ tie down spots lol) and so far the Chiroptera Marmalade, the Zion's Marmalade, and one of the Autoflower Apple Fritterz were topped, and that'll be it for now. The rest are fine as is with how strong they're all growing in there at this point lol

Covers were chopped for the 4th time recently, will be chopping them again soon as they're growing strong still and doing WORK in there getting the microbial communities active enough to support a strong grow. To be able to break things down fast enough, use less fertilizer, less work, I want as diverse and active of microbial communities as possible and that's what's going on currently.

Will have some microscope pics (real microscope) soon from the actual soil itself (potting mix), and if anyone wants to learn about the Soil Microbiology aspect such as what we want to see, what we don't want to see, etc? I'm glad to do a live viewing on Discord or wherever and we can scope it together and go over everything!

50gal 3x3 living soil bed

More pics and info coming soon, just super busy. 4 day growth comparison from chopping covers.

Fully organic cover crops used this run. Will be offering a mix soon, of actual certified organic cover crop mixes, versus the current standards of using non organic/conventional seeds offered (like Build a Soil 12-mix cover crops, Cannasseur No-till 13 mix cover crops, etc)

Here is a just under 4 day total growth period of my current bed after chopping when transplanting the cannabis inside.

Paper towels are only there from having added around a dozen Stone Centipedes to the bed, kept tent closed and took pic from window while they established themselves in their new home 🤣💀 along with around a dozen more insects and critters added prior.

Safe to say it's VERY living soil, and will post all the deets of this latest run soon!

THIS IS AN AUTOFLOWER AND PHOTOPERIOD MIXED BED...YES, I ALREADY KNOW I AM CRAZY 😈😅😛

Barley, 3x clovers, fenugreek, flax, buckwheat and more for the covers used ALL actually certified organic💪🌎

Cannendar App

Building an offline secured cannabis growing app, strictly based around natural farming/Regen agriculture practices.

Windows 11, encrypted, and your data actually gets to stay yours, not be uploaded into the cloud. The PDF linked lists the current capabilities as of now (summary + detailed breakdown), not future planned features but what is already in the app as of right now.

I spent the last 6 months building an app to run my sustainable microgreens business, figured might as well port it over to cannabis (hence why things went so quick this time lol).

Pics coming soon, and app as well, pushing it out quick. It is 100% free, and will be apache 2.0 open source just like my other app Plannater (plannater.com). No sign ups either. Meaning, this is absolutely not a promotion, as the app is not and never will be for sale.

World's happiest Fungus Gnat

Just a quick appreciation post!

Have lots of insects (beneficials and such) inside my bioactive tent, but wanted to feature this Fungus Gnat on a cloud of pure heaven ☁️🤣

Since i added Rove Beetles as well, the fungus gnats and especially their larvae will provide lots of fresh insect frass for the soil!

Thanks for helping cycle some fungi and frass lil guys 💪

Think I'll need to do an appreciation post for the roves too, gosh are they cool!

Cannendar

NOT A PROMOTION/SOLICITATION-The software being discussed below is open source (apache 2.0) and is entirely free (no sign ups).

Spent the last 6-8 months making the most advanced offline focused microgreens farm management app, learned the ropes and spent hours every day making it the best around.

Now what, you are all obviously asking?! Well, now it's time for Cannendar! What's Cannendar you ask?! Well, I'm so glad you did! 🤣🤣 Lmao

Cannendar is an upcoming offline focused cannabis growing software (windows 11) designed to be secured via encrypted database/photo storage/etc, only have optional integrations for things like Ecowitt sensors, and offer a visual representation of ones current grow, inventory, etc.

The reason I am making it, is because I am targeting natural farming/organic/living soil/no-till growers only. We need an offline option where it's not someone else's server/up in the cloud. Where our data can just simply, be ours again. Cannendar will be that option 😇

Sorry synth growers, you can learn to make an app of your own lol

This will be 100% free, zero ads, no sign-ups and will absolutely be open source just like my last app (Plannater.com, releasing ASAP).

This will be the most in-depth tracker for ones grow in terms of soil food web methods, natural farming and any other regenerative type of agriculture. There will be simple one click actions, nothing complex, but then drop down menus to expand to more details if one wishes (like Plannater has).

Having learned exactly what works, what doesn't, built a hell of a platform (500,000LOC app lol) that's actually functional and works without issues, is an accomplishment I don't intend to squander it on just Microgreens (no offense haha love microgreens, but cannabis is about 1000x more popular 🤣).

1st version pics coming soon, hope it comes out half as nice as my last app cause ngl it's epic lol

Also, just planted! Yay! 50gal in 3x3, worm chow on top for the 500 worms haha about 5 varieties, 3 local photos, 2 autos, roves added, 5 mil nematodes, 4 species of pred mites, springtails looking great, worm castings and perlite added (10cuft or so of medium at least😈🔥) and one of the worlds first fully organic cover crop mix (the Build a soil 12 crop cover mix is NOT organic, neither is the 13 no-till mix off Amazon). So I made my own, all certified organic: organic white clover, organic red clover, organic crimson clover, organic flax, organic Fenugreek, organic speckled peas, organic buckwheat (waiting on organic millet and a few others to arrive).

Protector

Size: around a quarter dollar

Location: Central VA

Temperament: initially found on the floor, last seen 4 minutes later on the ceiling 🤣

This is my very first time seeing what I have to assume is a juvenile centipede, and I have to say it was oddly adorable running across the carpet.

I made sure to protect the cute lil guy (from my cat), because I know he's really the one protecting me and her from pests 💪

Just sharing, please always remember they're our best friends indoors and the best pest control we can get in homes/apartments!

One thing I found really interesting is how large the body was, compared to the legs (30% body, 70% legs lol). While as adults, it always seems to appear opposite.

Had to do a double take at what it even was for a second because it was so tiny IRL.

I made sure to protect the cute lil guy (from my cat), because end of the day....he's really the one protecting me.

Yet again, for probably the 15th time now, openai official codex plugin for VS Code bugged. I have no idea who is doing the testing for these updates, and I'm not trying to bash but be accurate when I say over half of the updates have something visibly/functionally wrong.

Today's fun glitches are some added progress meter which has detached itself and added itself to the far right corner out of the chat window and reverted all permissions that have worked the same for the last few months. Not just yesterday, the day before, but MONTHS it was fine. Now for any change it's asking perms with "default" being set and no changes made on my end.

Having hundreds of hours in VS Code with codex, can confidently say this was after the last update and no change on my end.

Plannater is nearly ready for public release! Stay tuned shortly and check back on the website over the next few days for release day announcements!

Every variant (Home, Business, Enterprise) is 100% free (no sign ups) 100% open source!!!

Plannater-Local & Secure

Edit: this post is not a solicitation, there is no funding or anything else involved with this project, it is nearly complete and I spent 6+ months of work on it. Its entire purpose is to give people their data back and not have to worry about monthly subscription fees any longer.

Spent a while trying to get my offline ai forest wizard (for my open source offline farm management app I've been working on for 6+ months now) to float freely. Kept hearing not possible, not doable, etc.

Finally said: "there's no way in 2026 we can't get my god dam adorable forest wizard to just f*cking float. I refuse, adamantly, to believe that." Next prompt later, thanks to GPT5.5 Heavy, was nearly floating. One more prompt after and was truly floating.

Figured if clippie was possible 20 years ago, we dam sure better have floating avatars in 2026 possible 🤣🤣

Cheers to finally getting it looking 🔥🔥 the workaround in this case was straight up demanding and not taking no for an answer after hearing it dozens and dozens of times before.

I figured it would be helpful to have offline AI where customer data and business information was present, you can ask what your most profitable crops are, anything that might need some seasonal adjustments, endless possibilities of course. Local only, with optional sharing for every type of data (customers, calendar, accounting, etc) with outbound connection blockers as well just in case heh

Plannater (website created less than 48 hours ago, via gpt5.5 heavy and 33 revisions🤣)
