Looking for suggestion on Smart Bluetooth Speakers

Hi wonderful people,

I am an engineer who frequently works from home. I am looking for a speaker with good balance between sound and voice commands, which can actually talk back with AI. Here are some possible use cases (Everything is indoor, no need for party usage)-

  1. I am cooking, I just ask to play some music. It plays it, pause it, lower the volume if needed. Everything by voice, no need to reach the phone.

  2. I can receive calls by voice, no need to reach the phone.

  3. Also works as a Bluetooth speaker while playing some games in the laptop.

  4. Can take an alarm or countdown timer for meditation or regular basis home exercise.

Just like a daily assistant and some good sound as speaker.

I saw the Google launched its new home speaker which is very close to my requirements. But, I am big fan of Samsung or Bose sound systems.

It would be very nice, if someone can suggest any more options ? Thanks in Advance.

How safe to travel to US for a solo traveler without any friends or relatives ?

Hello People,

I am a Indian guy living and working in Europe. I have got my B1/B2 visa recently few months back. Now, I am thinking to travel to NYC during Christmas and New Year week this year purely as a tourist.

I am a solo traveler all along, traveled extensively in EU and Africa without any issues.

This will be my first time in US soil and I don't have any friends or family in US.

I have ZERO intent for searching jobs there or to live in US.

Can anyone please tell me is it safe for a solo Indian traveler to travel in US alone ? I would like to know from other travelers with there feedback and what are the DO's and DON'Ts ? Specially I see Indians are facing racism quite often.

Also, is there any specific documents I need to carry for ICE checks or during Immigration ?

It would be great if any other solo travelers can comment and give feedback.

Thanks a lot.

Confusing eVisa system : Please advise

Hey Folks,

Here is my situation with UK eVisa with timeline -

my background - I am non-EU citizen living and working in Oslo, Norway and applied for standard visitor VISA for UK from Oslo.

May 3 - Application submitted at gov.uk with successful payment.

May 5 - Biometric finished at VFS

May 6 - All the VFS emails received about sending the application to UK Visa centre. I created the UKVI account myself.

May 7 - Received email from UK Immigration with subject "Your UK visa application has arrived at the UK Visa Section"

May 8 - Received another email from UK Immigration having subject "Your eVisa has been linked to your account"

No email received after this.

Now, in the email "Your eVisa has been linked to your account" they are saying you can see the visa after 3 hrs -

But when I am logging in today May 9th - I am seeing this -

Can anyone faced this situation or anyone know what will happen next ? Does they will send another email when it will be visible ?

I am pretty confused now and it will be great if someone can advise who faced similar situation or know about the process in details.

Thank you so much. 😄

Hi people,

I am a non-EU citizen living and working in Norway. Recently, I have applied for standard visitor UK visa for tourism. I have finished with my biometric with VFS yesterday i.e. May 5th.

I haven't received anything yet from UKVI about any status.

This is my first time applying for UK Visa.

Should I wait for the decision or should I create a UKVI account now ? I am little confused here. Anyone been in the situation please help on this.
