The general consensus of the hospital scene is incorrect. Rubin does not put the hood ornament up there.

I always thought this, but everyone saying otherwise made me think I saw wrong.

I just watched the scene again to confirm or deny my suspicions.

He gets right up to the point, probably touches there and Niall screams "ill tell you!"

We then see it in Rubins hand. It is entirely debatable there was never any penetration at all.

Niall screams right at the moment it starts, and it stops then.

This also refutes those folk who say Niall should have spent the rest of the scene expressing he was in pain. It didn't happen, so he was not in pain from it.

The only rational I can come up with for Lori in pyjamas at the wedding

When Nial is off to university. She gets him a mug with big bold STUDENT written on it in black letters. He scowls at it and remarks it looks like an insult.

She's cold and calous and while she does show up for him, it's never with love.

(Side note, think about what gift Rubin buys for him later. A signed Harrison ford poster!)

The mug mirrors the PJs. After the ceremony she couldn't get changed into comfy clothes fast enough. She's shown up, done her bit. and now doesn't give a fuck, straight into her PJs.

It's all I've got. Frankly it feels like a strange choice in the writing to me, and I have to wonder if a scene was cut that further contextualises it.

What do you think?

Some people have said it's evidence more has happened in the barn. I don't see how.

I don't understand why people are misinterpreting the final scene.

In a prior episode. We see Rubin dead, taken out on a stretcher.

Then in the final episode (returning to moments before that scene) Rubin is stabbed as he strangles Niall to death.

We see Niall die.

Right after this, Rubin collapses on the ground with ragged breathing, noticing his wound.

The next scene cronologically is the one we saw in the prior episode--Rubin on a stretcher.

They both died, killing eachother. There's no other interpretation here.

However, am I wrong? It seems really cut and dry to me but tell me if I'm wrong.
