Thinking about picking up this 2012 1.6 base DCT, sitting at 209k KM(I’m in Canada) for $3500 CAD.
Runs and drives well. But with all the research I’ve done, and everything I’ve read, I’m terrified.
Am I being overdramatic or is it justified?
Good buy or walk away?

Thinking of picking up this 2011 for a cheap runaround summer vehicle.
Current odo is 313k km. A little rough around the edges cosmetically but I’m handy so I don’t mind putting some work into it. My main concern is the health of the IMA battery. Current owner says it shows no signs of degradation but I want to be sure I’m not getting myself into a nightmare. I have a fairly high end OBD scanner, is there any indicators I can look for that would signal health(or lack thereof) with just the scanner? This would be my first hybrid so I’m not terribly familiar. Any other signs that the battery is tired/in need of replacement that I should look for?
