I’m trying to find a specific scene or story where a character attempts to load a comically large or oversized crossbow. It was probably some kind of a duel (but I'm not sure) in which two duelists were to choose between light and heavy crossbow and inexperienced chose the heavy.

The inexperienced character is physically struggling and straining to load the heavy bolt or pull back the mechanism. They only successfully lock it into place when the weapon falls, slips, or they slam their full body weight down onto it.

I don't remember what kind of media it was from or even the genre.
