Norway's games industry mostly consists of struggling indie developers. We helped organize a big event to put them in the spotlight. Which ones have you played?
There's few break-out hits from Norway, but the industry keeps on trudging along due to a really supportive government grant and regional support for game development. There are some stand-out developers/publishers like Hyper Games, Vedinad and Funcom, but most of these companies stuggle to keep 5+ team members with a few exceptions. Some games have been picked up by publishers, like Crop and Moomintroll - but it seems Norwegian devs are generally hesitant to partner with outsiders and lean heavily towards self-publishing. Are they missing out?
