Thorin Oakenshield talking with Gandalf (OC)

Thorin Oakenshield talking with Gandalf (OC)

I was reading "The Hobbit" to one of my friend, and had a urge to draw something.

Here is how I see Thorin.

[ST] [OC] I did a gameboy-style cover -not 100% accurate- of "In the Fields", from Spirit Tracks

(pixel art by me, too)

About the "Kiki's delivery service" live action, because you all are wrong.

"Kiki's Delivery Service" is a novel series wrote by Eiki Kadono. It has 6 books, plus three specials. Not a single official source claimed the upcoming adaptation to be a "live-action remake" of Miyazaki's animated movie

On the other hand, i feel like it shows that everybody aren't aware that majority of Miyazaki's movies are based on books, so here is a list :

- The castle of Cagliostro : Original movie based on the manga "Lupin the Third"
- Nausicaä : Technically, yes and no. He had to write the beginning of a manga before (the manga has 7 volumes).
- Castle in the sky : Based on "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson, and "Gulliver's Travel" - while being a free adaptation.
- Totoro : No.
- Kiki's Delivery Service : Based on the novel series by Eiki Kadono.
- Porco Rosso : Based on one of his own manga, "Hikōtei Jidai"
- Whisper of the Heart : Based on Aoi Hiiragi's manga "Mimi o Sumaseba"
- Princess Mononoke : No but he wrote the beginning of an illustrated book.
- Spirited Away : No. Chihiro is based on Miyazaki's friend's daughter.
- Howl's Moving Castle : Based on the first book of the "Howl Trilogy", "Howl's Moving Castle".
- Ponyo : Based on "The Little Lermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen.
- Arrietty : Based on "The Borrowers" by Mary Norton.
- From up on poppy hill : Based on the manga "From Up on Poppy Hill" by Tetsuo Sayama and Chizuru Takahashi.
- The Boy and the Heron : Not an adaptation, but based on "How do you live ?" by Genzaburō Yoshino.

I kept for the end :
- Tales of Earthsea, by Gorō Miyazaki : Based on different stories from the "Earthsea" novel series.

And

- The Wind Rises is based on : "Le cimetière marin" by Paul Valéry ("Le vent se lève, il faut tenter de vivre, etc") ; free biopic of Jiro Horikoshi, using real person name in a different context (like Honjo) ; also based on "The Wind has Risen" by Tatsuo Hori.

Edit : "Based on" doesn't mean it is a faithfull adaptation. It can be based on a concept, on a world, etc. So yes, they are "based on".

Edit 2 : "All of you" is OBVIOUSLY the people who spread wrong informations, like "It will be a live action of the animated movie".

[OoT] Water Temple difficulty is - in my opinion - very overexaggerated.

Of course, it's only my opinion.

Since years, a lot of people say that this dungeon is hard, or that it is the "hardest" of OoT, but everytime I see these posts / hear these takes, I'm like ... "Did we play the same OoT ?"

Like, it is hard but - imo, again - not at all that much harder than the other temple of this game. Imo, it's not even the hardest in that game. Personnaly, I remember having more problems in Jabu-Jabu when I was a kid.

I don't know, is it a popular or an unpopular opinion ?

What is your take on that one ?

I just finished my first playthrough of "Ico" !!

Put a spoiler warning just in case.

Damn, that game is wonderful ... I just love the visual, the soundtrack, and the end made me cry like a crybaby 😢

It might be one of the best game i've ever play - and as a big fan of NieR, I loved to see what was most certainly the inspiration for NieR.

I heard there are changes in the second playthrough, so I will probably play it again in the next days.

But yeah, a big thank you to all the people that created this game.

My first time drawing captain Olimar !

So i finished the first game yesterday - and for the first time. I have a funny habit of doing a drawing when i finish a game, so here is my very first (or first-two) drawing of my Captain !

I prefer the body of the second try. But I like the head of the first try.

Ignore Kirby.

The last time I finished this game was a year after its release, for its 25th anniversary. Recently, I felt like experiencing it again, so I asked my brother - who owns the Switch version - if I could borrow it.

I started playing it a few days ago, and today, I finished it. I only have one word to say : wow.

The game was even better than I remembered, and honestly, I already remembered it as an excellent game.

Truly, it was a wonderful adventure from beginning to end. I still feel the same way about the somewhat empty sky, but compared to this game’s qualities, it’s nothing more than a speck of dust. The music, the characters, the story, and the direction - this game is filled with so many exceptional things in my eyes that I quickly forgot about that one flaw.

Thank you to everyone who worked on this game. I’ve just spent around forty hours on an experience that will stay etched in my memory for a long time.

There’s only one thing I’m looking forward to now : the day I’ve forgotten this game … so I can discover it all over again.

Thank you, Nintendo.

What the fuck ...

The next games are going to be made with generative ai. Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven, Yo-Kai Watch, etc.

Everything.

They fucked up absolutely everything.
