Went to Collector’s Corner on my way home from my trip to New York Comic-Con and saw they had a bunch of used out-of-print and hard-to-find Epics in stock. I probably shouldn’t have spent as much as I did for some of them ($200 for Old Republic 3?), but I probably would’ve regretted it if I passed on them. Thankfully the owner/employee gave me a 25% discount due to the quantity I bought. On average, they came out to $56.95 a book.

There were a few I passed on due to condition or because I had them already, but if anyone wants to visit them to pick them up, feel free. Some of the ones that I passed on were Star Wars: Legacy 2-4, Master of Kung Fu 2, and Killraven.

Finally got caught up on my DC Finest collecting and have all the volumes through Harley Quinn.

Went to the grand opening of the Third Eye Comics in Glen Burnie, MD today. Among the things I bought were Out and X-Factor Vol. 1, both in great shape (the X-Factor had minor creasing on the bottom corner but I figured I could live with it for now). If anybody lives near there, they did have a second copy of Out as well as some other hard to find Epics I passed on due to condition - Black Panther Vol. 1, Dark Avengers (already have this one but was considering a replacement), Thor Vol. 2, and X-Force Vol. 2. Also a bunch of copies of Venom Modern Vol. 5 (Savage Six) which I already have.

I love collecting promo comics such as the ones pictured above. DC reprinted some of the Zero Hour ones in its Events volume, but what are the chances DC would do a dedicated volume just for their promo books?

Three weeks ago I took a trip to the Pittsburgh area to check out some of the comic and used bookstores there. I take trips there every now and then because the stores tend to have stuff that’s out-of-print or otherwise hard to find. Anyway, here are a bunch of the Epics I picked up during the trip. All of these are first prints or books that I rarely see in other stores I’ve been to.

The first two pictures are from a visit to a Half Price Books, while the rest are from miscellaneous comic stores. I believe the only one I paid above cover price for was the X-Factor volume, but the rest of the books I picked up at HPB offset that.

This woman matched with me on Tinder on Wednesday. Neither of us sent a message to each other for a couple of days, so I messaged her yesterday to apologize for that. Unfortunately, I didn’t get all the messages before she unmatched, but these should show the general gist.
