Hello guys, we are planning to do a 24h bike trip. While looking for equipment I was overwhelmed by the many different choices for clothing and gear etc, so I'd really appriciate your input!

The main challenge is probably the budget of approximatly as little as possible. While browsing the Decathlon website I noticed a lot of identical looking pants with nonsensical descriptions, wich ultimatly led me to posting this here:

Since the tour will be 24h we will ride through the night, therefore I suppose that I need some form of long clothing like long bip shorts (?). The most appealing option to me seems to be some form of leg warmers.

I have the VR Raincoat EDR and a long sleeve sport shirt. Im assuming that would do if I were to change just before the night but I am concerned about my legs.

Also, maybe someone who already did something like this could share some of the details, especially regarding fueling, storage and must have gear. How could I carry a lot of water as best as possible? Might a drinking system be of value?

I'd love to recieve some advice, thanks :)

Heyy, got a new problem with my Creality HI printing TPU. Problem is it just jams. Even when printing dead slow. I also have problems loading it, loading by hand worked though. Any ideas for printing more consistantly? I unclogged and disassembled it multiple times by now.

So Where am I Coming From? I started out with a ZOHD Drift, a TX12, and a 35€ analog screen. It was terrible. The latest setup I'm currently selling as scraps is a Sonic model AR Wing Pro with a flight controller, a 1W VTX running 3S with a way-too-small battery. Also, a Jumper T20. I built a flying wing out of Styrofoam with a guitar string and a 24v power brick I had laying around, and it flew infinitely better. Getting the ar wing was very underwhelming

Basically, my only positive experience with FPV flying (besides the time span when my DIY wing worked insanely well) was with an old, used, and completely beaten-up Meteor 85 that I got relatively cheap. I scrapped the DIY wing and transitioned to the AR Wing because of transportability. No way can a bought product be worse than something from my messy desk, right??

Moving on, that Meteor 85 was great for a while, until every tiny solder point got loose and shit just didn't hold up. The preowner turned out to be as janky as I am with repairs.

What also doesn't help is that my VRX is a Fatshark Dominator from like 2012. And it Works!! But you can tell its age. Now, I'm mainly flying normal park flyers because of simplicity with my T20, but really want to get into FPV copters again as I can imagine them being really fun, given they don't need soldering every landing. I've scouted the used market and found a good deal on this Meteor 75 Pro kit for around 290€, but yeah—I'd like to hear your opinion first.

I'm in for DIY things, as long as they aren't sketchy (so basically, I'm not into DIY things) but I want something resembling a reliable system for once. I already have a good ELRS TX, bad analogue goggles, and probably 10h of flying the Meteor, along with a lot more fixed wing flying. What do you think I should look into?

I'll put this part in a really fucky space and don't intend on ever touching it agai. Problem is the plug is really ass, because the wire slides in and with any luck doesn't slide out again. Any idea how I could secure so it doesn't slip out again?

I'll just start with the journey of my current bike.

2 years ago I bought an triban rc500 and put 35mm gravel tyres on to make it a gravel bike. Or so I thought. Last year I swapped the Sora groupset for a microshift sword and deore combo and completed it with some nice Hunt 4season wheels. Now I have an awesome franken bike with with a 142 hub and a 135 rear dropout. Yes it fits, yes it works but man did it not want to. My friend group now plans some bikepacking trips and for that I want to increase the reliability and comfort a little. And mist importantly for cheap.

I see my best option at some seaboard (Tsunami) Alu or Steel framesets but recently stumbled upon something different;

An mtb gravel conversion.

Where I live everyone is currently swapping their cube aims, trek marlins and grand canyons for a gravel bike do they are really really cheap to get used. Now I'm thinking about swapping my components onto a small MTB frame and fit a rigid fork for a modern and durable platform.

I also like the really nasty look some of them offer.

Tldr;

Could anyone who might have experience with gravel MTB conversions share their experiences?
