Manager wants to cross train me for other departments.

Started a retail job 3 months ago after 10 years away. Manager wants to cross train me in the framing department because I have many decades experience in picture framing. The problem is, my pay isn’t great. Would it sound presumptuous if I said “sure, for more money”? It’s been 3 months and I’m doing a stellar job as head of my own department. I’ve heard from other people who get asked to train for other departments and they don’t get paid any more for doing more work. Or should I just shut up and do it?

Why is it taking so long for the job market to open up?

Took a job in retail after losing my production management position. I just needed to pay my bills. It sucks balls. I was in retail before and I remember why I hated it so much. Stupid entitled customers, parents who don’t parent their kids, corporate bullshit, etc. It’s been abyssal trying to find another management position in manufacturing. I’ve never seen the job market this bad since 2008.

I’m so sick of these fricking squishiest

We get our freight truck on Wednesdays. Toys is part of my area. Squishies (think NeeDoh’s) are a huge thing right now, constantly trending on social media. Customers constantly trying to go through our freight, buying everyone that comes in (we should have a quantity limit but corporate wouldn’t allow it). We get scalpers waiting next to me as we’re unloading the freight so they can buy everything and resell them online. They’re shitty people trying to profit off kids toys.

What to do with a bad review?

A customer left a bad Google review about me, not by name but described me. They said they asked for the bathroom code and I said “no, go ask someone else” (which never happened). Then they said no one else was in the store and I said “ughh, fine” and walked over to let them in the bathroom (which may have happened- we get asked 50+ times a day to let people in the bathroom while we’re trying to get all the tasks we need to do). Anyone who knows me knows I would never dismiss a customer like that. I’ve only been there for 2 months but I’ve done retail before for 15+ years. What’s going to happen? Pulled into office for a chat? Corporate involved? I’ve read all the other reviews and they’re not good for our store (mostly the manager accusing people of stealing or bad customer service).

Can’t remove old auto insurance card from Wallet

The expired cards from two years ago still show up in my Apple Wallet. There are three dots on top of the page that shows all cards which allows me to delete my credit cards but not the insurance card. When I click on the insurance cards, there are no … which would allow me to delete it. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app but it still shows up. It’s frustrating. What can I do?
