Serviceberry tree near Tree of Heaven to be killed.

I have two small serviceberry trees arriving soon. I'd like to put one on the corner of the property where there is currently a Tree of Heaven. I plan to try to kill the Tree of Heaven by herbicide applied to slashes in the bark in July. Could the herbicide that gets carried into the roots harm the serviceberry tree which will have been growing for about 7 weeks about 4 feet from the trunk of the Tree of Heaven? Before I can safely remove the entire Tree of Heaven, can I prune it heavily to reduce the amount that it shades the serviceberry tree without triggering sucker growth? I removed a lot of branches from it before I learned more about it with no apparent bad result. I'm in zone 5 in Wisconsin.

Uber smell on my clothes.

Yesterday I took an Uber to a medical thing and threw my clothes in the laundry right after. My shirt still smelled like the "Black Ice" crappy knockoff of Code Drakkar and Dior Sauvage after I washed it. Now my clothes from the ride home from the vet today smell like Dystopian Fruity Bonanza or some shit and it soaked through to my skin so I have to take a bath before the smell gets tracked onto my furniture. I've seriously biked 7 miles to work on below zero days to not get that smell on me.

That weed with the purty yellow flowers all over Madison.

There's a dark green plant that grows among grass with kind of a spreading growth habit and tiny bright yellow flowers. It's especially noticeable on street medians in hot dry weather because it stays deep green when the grass is brown and dormant.

I want to call it yellow vetch but I might be wrong. It does remind me of a pulse or legume. Almost like a tiny alfalfa but with different flowers.

I'm someone here knows the proper name of it.

How different is the Muhle R41 from a Gillette Old Type?

I'm trying to balance my curiosity to try things with economy. The R41 sure looks interesting. I do get the "pay attention or get bit" experience with my Old Type. Maybe I'm set for life with that.

How do they compare? Maybe I'll direct my curiosity toward trying a Gem instead.

Super Speed Flare Tip feels like nothing after adjusting to Gillette Old Type

My open comb Old Type felt pretty harsh at first but once I got used to it became my favorite razor. I enjoy the fact that it really makes me pay attention to what I'm doing. Last night I put a new blade in my Super Speed Flare Tip and I could barely feel the blade. I guess the Super Speed is being able to zip through the shave without having to be so careful. It really reminded me of when my father gave me his razor with no blade to pretend to shave by scraping Gillette Foamy off my face.

Gillette Old Type With Broken Handle

I figured it was worth throwing $2 at and that was the winning bid. I'm pretty confident I can solder it well enough to be sturdy and I have lead free solder. I'm a little less confident of how good my repair will be aesthetically. I bet a feller could MacGuyver up a makeshift handle from a bolt and a coupling nut if the repair of the actual handle is unsuccessful.

Is my musty horn case beyond hope?

I got a single horn in really good shape for $50. The bad news is the case smells like it was stored in a basement. So far the smell has lasted being sprinkled liberally with baking soda and kept open in a warm, dry furnace room for 5 years. I had considered giving up on it but discovered that a replacement case is more expensive than the horn. I might gut the case down to the hard plastic shell and contrive my own case internals out of scavenged foam and old towels. I want to try leaving it in a hot car in the sun to see what heat will do but I don't have a car.

I'd like to have a little box that says some version of "Howdy", "Greetings" or "Hello" when someone comes up the stairs to the second floor or my building without it being so expensive that it would be a big loss if someone stole it.

What is a good platform to do such a project as cheaply as possible? It would have to be able to play a simple audio file. I could simplify it to play only one greeting if being able to select from multiple files would increase the cost.

Some guys don't understand the power of subtlety and insist on having a very heavy hand with the cologne. I can smell my mailman's cologne halfway up the stairs for at least 30 minutes after he has been here. There is a guy at my work who wears so much I have to walk away when he is around or I'll get a pounding headache. What are people like that thinking?
