motion video made entirely in figma motion

Was experimenting and wanted to see if it could handle an entire product launch video from start to finish.

It felt pretty simple to use as someone's first time doing any motion design but had performance issues where it kept dropping frames and lagging during certain parts. It's also lacking some features I would've wanted like importing audio and video and keyframing for gradients and certain effects. It's still in beta so hopefully it improves.

For now, I think it can mostly handle what I need. I'm curious whether others would use figma motion over alternatives? I've tried cavalry but it didn't feel as intuitive. How does rive or after effects compare?

Finally launched today - munch: your social recipe app

After months of designing, building, and going through App Store review, munch is finally live on Product Hunt!

The idea came from wanting something that felt more social than a traditional recipe app. Why keep all your recipes and food pics hidden? You can share recipes with friends and the community, save recipes you want to try later, and explore what others are cooking. It's like the middle ground between instagram/tiktok and traditional recipe organizing apps. And plus, I've noticed other recipe apps have outdated and boring designs.

I'd really appreciate any feedback on the app.

The app is completely free with zero in-app purchases. Currently only on iOS (Android very soon!).

I built munch, your social recipe app

I recently launched munch, a social recipe app built for people who love discovering, sharing, and organizing recipes.

My first app got rejected, but review process was extremely quick.

After seeing reddit stories of 2 week long approval processes and 10 rejections, I was expecting the same long wait. Instead, it was reviewed in 2 days. On a weekend.

My app was rejected initially, which was a jumpscare, but the criticisms were straightforward:
- I didn't include a blocking feature for user profiles in my social app
- Terms and privacy weren't clear enough in the login flow. They were originally only shown when signing up, not when logging in.
- Cant ask for user's name and email when using "sign in with apple".

I implemented those changes, resubmitted (with a required video), and it was approved the next day. Seeing my app live on the app store was definitely a milestone.

I'm curious to see how long the review process was for others in 2026. How long did it take for you to get approved?

Don't be afraid to roast my app, munch, if you want to take a look. It's a social recipe app that helps you cook, discover, and share recipes with your friends and community: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/munch-your-social-recipe-app/id6767927842

Thoughts on my app store screenshots for social recipe app

These are my first app store screenshots for my 1.0 launch. I do feel like images 5-7 feel off and different from images 1-4 and im not sure why.
My app munch is a social recipe app that helps users cook, discover, and share recipes with friends and the community. I'm trying to give off a more expressive and clean look compared to other recipe apps. Any opinions are welcome.

Feedback on the app would be great too!: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/munch-your-social-recipe-app/id6767927842

Prof not responding to final mark concern

I got a final mark for physics 2 (1402B) that is not possible unless they ignored my APPROVED academic consideration request. I emailed the prof on Jun 5th and followed up on Jun 11th and they haven't responded. He's prob on vacation.

I know this is kinda late since marks came out a month ago. But I'm worried whether this mark will affect whether I get my engineering discipline choice. Is there someone else I could contact more urgently?

edit: this course was jan-april 2026.
