Is it legal to tell an employee they are not allowed sit down unless they are on break.
Is it legal for the employer to deduct money for accommodation directly from wages without this being listed on the payslip?
Posting on behalf of my partner (immigrant chef on a general work visa & with valid IRP)
Appreciate any help. I've tried telling him to report to WRC as he only has one day of a week and works 11.30-9.30 6 days a week. But he is hesitant due to needing a job.
Chinese run businesses getting away with horrific work conditions, because the immigrants can't complain, it's such a disgrace.

Hello! Was wondering if anyone with knowledge about property and tax law could help me understand things I've come across in work. If someone converts a house into six apartments, do they pay property tax on just that one house, or will they have to pay a separate tax for the six apartments. Also, why might someone not be currently liable to pay LPT on a given property. Thanks
