Lawn "gnats"?

Every time I walk through my grass, there are hundreds or even thousands of tiny bugs that I can only describe as looking like gnats. They seem to “fly” or jump very low to the ground when I disturb the grass. I’ve had them for months now, but I’m not seeing any noticeable lawn damage. Google keeps telling me they could be fungus gnats, but I’m not convinced that’s what they are.

They’re there pretty much regardless of the time of day, and I see them whether the grass is dry or wet.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Any idea what they might be and, more importantly, how I can get rid of them? I’m assuming I’ll have to nuke them with insecticide, but I’d rather know what I’m dealing with before doing that.

Henry supreme pewview handguard install RPP

Does anyone have any source on how to install the 13.25 pewview hanguard with the heat shield? I have the actual handguard installed, but the instructions on the RPP website do not include the extra steps for the pewview version with the heat shield and pic rail.

Am I missing something here?

I don't really get the appeal of being exempt.

At my company, 40 hours is mandatory. If you work less than 40, they make you use PTO to get to 40. If you don't have any PTO left, you can get written up or even fired. So you have to hit 40 hours no matter what.

But if the job takes 45, 50, or 60 hours that week, there's no extra pay because you're exempt. You're just expected to work whatever it takes. Which is all the time.

So how is this a benefit? It feels like all the expectations of an hourly employee when you're under 40, but none of the benefits when you're over 40.

Is this normal, or is my company just like this?

Just found out I have EoE, kind of confused as I have very little symptoms.

I was having acid reflux on and off, got put on 20mg of omeprazole daily. It kind of helped, but still kept having spouts of acid reflux. I did a endo and he took a biopsy. It came back and he said "the usual high count is 15, but mine was so high that they couldn't even get a count." I feel like I should have noticed this before... I've started eliminating dairy, but honestly I see maybe only a little improvement. I was also doing allergy shots, but stopped those. He just prescribed me Fluticasone to do twice a day. Then in 3 months I have to do another endoscopy. I feel like he's playing it off and making it seem like the condition isn't that serious, but on here I see otherwise. I'm not really sure if this is a question, but I just feel kind of lost.

Is this fungus?

Located in Hampton roads, VA. Started reel mowing a week ago at 1inch, 2-3 times a week. It has been raining non stop this week. Is this fungus, grubs, or just heat stress?

11 day post level

Posted here 11 days ago worried about too much sand. Just mowed yesterday at 1.25 inches. Will bring it down to 1 inch tomorrow. Definitely some areas are still filling in (dont mind the corner, my dogs are assholes), but it looks really nice so far. Will hit it with some chelated iron tomorrow after the cut.

SN and BZ storyline relevant to SN2?

I just started SN2. Boy.. is it a blast! I haven't played any games in a while and this one caught my eye. I have been playing it for hours on end and having a ton of fun. So far the storyline seems to be pretty easy to follow, but I haven't played the other two Subnauticas. For anyone who beat SN2 in it's current state, do I need to play the others to understand the story at all in SN2?

Edit: Seems like in the current state there is no need to play the other ones to understand the story. However, I will definitely be playing the other ones once I finish the early access content. Thanks!

Did I mess up?

First time leveling my yard. My backyard was the worst, being very bumpy up to .75in at the most, but really .5in deviations. I leveled with masonry sand, it poured on me so I had to wait for it to dry. Is this too much sand? I feel like I'm gonna murder the grass. I did scalp to .5in.

The side of my yard wasnt very bumpy, and im happy with it. I'll put a picture to show the difference.

If it's too much what should I do?

Poured while leveling

Was leveling with sand, partially spread out and it poured on me for about 15 minutes. I will have to let it sit overnight to dry since it just clumps. I'm assuming that's not an issue?

Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner Smell

I recently bought the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner on amazon. Yesterday I opened everything up, filled it with distilled water, and started using it. It seems to function perfectly fine, but I get this low-grade burning smell. I'm not sure if this is normal. Does this go away after multiple uses?

I recently got an S340, and it’s been great except for one issue. I have it set to switch to Away mode from midnight to 5:30 a.m. I did this because I wanted to set up a motion alarm, as we’ve had recent car break-ins.

However, every time it switches to Away mode at midnight, the alarm activates due to “motion,” even though there’s nothing there. I don’t want this happening every night, as my neighbors will hear an alarm going off at midnight. Does anyone know how to fix this?
