Nothing Phone 4a (Pro) or Fairphone 6 Plus?

I’m currently renewing the contract for my work phone and am torn between the Nothing Phone 4a (Pro) and the Fairphone 6 Plus. Which one would you choose?

I basically need it for videos (social media), as well as calls and WhatsApp—nothing else, really.

Both require a minimal upfront payment of just 1 euro. I’ve owned a few Nothing phones before and they’re really good, but the Fairphone is an interesting option too.

PS: They also have other Brands like Motorola (Signature asf). DXO Mark Ranking #12 of best Cameras.

PC Software like Digital Signage

I am using atm the Service of Optisigns for my two Displays in my Store to show Commercials (PDF, Videos) , but i think i can this by myself without paying.

Up until now, I’ve been using the Optisigns stick on one monitor and a small PC on the other.

Now, I’ve connected the PC to both monitors via HDMI using a splitter.

It’s still running with Optisigns for the time being.

Is there any local software—like a slideshow app or something similar—that could handle this? In other words, something to play a playlist consisting of PDF files, images, and videos?

Thanks for your help.

Oppo X9 Pro and dizziness

Does anyone know anything about the Oppo X9 Pro and dizziness / sickness?

I’m currently trying to get to the bottom of some dizziness I’ve been experiencing and am looking at what has changed in my life recently; I suspect the smartphone might be the cause. I could be wrong, of course, but are there any known cases of this?

I’ve used it as little as possible for the past two days and haven’t felt dizzy a single time.

Asrock B850i Lightning stutters at Call of Duty MW 4 Beta

At first, I thought the game was to blame, but it turns out it’s the Wi-Fi. I ran the Wi-Fi task manager in the foreground during a round of CoD, and the graph and the dips align with the moments when I experience issues.

Then I found the Reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/1or2lei/asrock_b850i_lightning_stutters_in_apex_and/ , but I don't know if that's the solution.

Has anyone else experienced these issues with shooters and found a solution? The price-performance ratio is excellent, but this is worrying. I don't want to have to replace the motherboard again. It was already challenging enough to coordinate everything and find an ideal setup for the eRazr case.

Unfortunately, I can't say right now whether the problem affects other shooters too, since I haven't tried any others. I don't have any issues with Fortnite, though—though perhaps the way packets and data are processed there differs from a shooter like CoD or Battlefield. In those games, you really rely heavily on a stable Wi-Fi connection.

I hope someone here can help me. If there is no solution, I would of course swap the board again.

Best Dumb Phone August 2026 with good Camera

I know you get this Question but what is the best Dumb Phone atm ?

I’m fed up with it. I want to detox and keep things minimal, but—because of my kids—I don’t want to sacrifice having a good camera. That’s really my only requirement.

And yes, I do rely on certain apps—especially for EV charging or my Blink cameras—but maybe there’s an Android-based "dumb phone" out there that doesn't leave me completely stranded. Ideally, I’d like to say goodbye to WhatsApp and the like, too. I have Instagram and such on my work phone, and that’s plenty for me.

To put it briefly: I just want some peace and quiet and to break free from this dependency—and from those terrible social media platforms with their addictive videos.

I find the upcoming Commodore amusing, but ultimately a bit too old-school for my taste.

I’ve only been forced to reactivate my old Fire Phone once—back when it needed repairs a long time ago. It was like a detox, and I enjoyed it—every minute of it. I simply love it, even though it flopped and was technically ahead of its time.
