Two locations. One stream (NW, UK)

Some finds from today. I decided to check out one of my favourite streams. As usual, there were hundreds of pottery pieces around, as well as so many other things. I took some pieces and some pipe stems for a friend.

We've had a lot dry weather, and the trees are going through a false autumn and losing a lot of leaves. It meant some areas were a bit more covered and needed a closer look, you could spend days there trying to spot everything. The stream was much more accessible too with the drier weather.

Found while mudlarking. Going to repurpose it

It's absolutely nothing special at all, but I can't leave uranium finds behind. I'm going to clean it up and eventually will put it in a cabinet with my other finds, and use this up hold the marbles I've found.

By the river today

It was a very quick look today. Part of the riverbank is part of an old landfill, which always produces some surface finds.

Bleeding through ovulation. Just sad, exhausted, and need to vent

I'm waiting for surgery. I had my pre-op recently, so just waiting for a date now. My periods are getting more brutal by the month, and I'm generally feeling worse by the week.

I usually ovulate exactly a week after the first date of my period. The ovulation pain has started to be worse than the period pain. I've got two large bilateral endometriomas, as well as a lot of other stuff going on. So I know there's a lot going on inside me and that this is all normal (whatever normal is anymore) but I'm just so drained.

I've had the stabbing, twisting, shooting pains for days now. I'm bleeding still, lightly then heavily. I've got the cramps, nausea and exhaustion, as well as an upset stomach. I'm just feeling so low and done. I know it will pass, but it feels neverending. And in a matter of days I'll start my two week build up to my period again. There really is no break from any of this.

I can't sit comfortably, I can't sleep comfortably, walking around my legs lock and I have to drag my leg sometimes, depending on where in my cycle I am. I've got a good idea of why this is happening, but I've not been opened up yet, so there's nothing official and on any medical records, so my GP can't really do much. I feel like I'm constantly going in circles trying to get any help while I wait for surgery.

I know there is bowel involvement. The MRI showed some involvement, and I know it's getting worse. I have gone from feeling hopeful about the surgery, to starting to feel like even after surgery this is how it's going to be forever. I just feel so sad and stuck.

In and around the river today (Greater Manchester, UK)

There's an old landfill by part of the river, so there's always something to look at in and around the water.

It's a shame about the poison bottle, but I couldn't leave it behind. I brought home the piece of ceramic doll head, as well as the other broken figurines, for a friend
