Mets call up reliver Daniel Duarte

  • Has a 3.99 career ERA across 3 seasons.
  • WHIP of 1.38. Most games pitched in a season is 31 in 2023 where he pitched to a 3.69 ERA.
  • Hasn't pitched since 2 solid appearances in 2024.
  • Has a 2.60 ERA in 12 games in Syracuse (4 starts)
  • Only 29 years old

I dont necessarily hate this move, I just hope he's not here for a series then some other reliver comes in until Minter is finally able to come back

Had a bizarre nightmare about Syndergaard earlier today

So for some personal context, when I started watching baseball I was a massive Thor guy, even moreso than Jake. I loved him so much I bought his pinstripe jersey and his Player's Weekend jersey, and when he left the Mets I bought another one of his pinstripe jerseys in a bigger size just to have one. If you were to ask me who my favorite Met is, odds are I would/possibly still would say Noah.

For further context: I don't know if you've been keeping up with the news surrounding Syndergaard this past week, but hes been making the rounds on some conservative podcasts preaching the word of you know who, as well as making an appearance with him in the oval office.

After the game today I decided to take a quick nap, and this is where I have my weird nightmare.

So, I'm in this school-esque auditorium because apparently, Noah was about to give some sort of Ted Talk style speech about his career. And he comes out wearing a maroon suit and everyone cheers and starts screaming for him (in my nightnare I guess Noah had a much more successful career than he actually did) and I'm like reaching my hand out to him for some sort of acknowledgement, which if I can remember correctly he never gives me. And he starts talking about his career and whatnot, and all of a sudden, the demeanor on his face changes and body language becomes a bit more aggressive, and he starts screaming out conservative propaganda, like for no reason (In the same vein as what Kanye was doing a few years ago). He's just pissed off as hell and spouting these ideas and everyone in the audience is dumbfounded and a bit scared. Eventually, Noah gets so irate that he throws his mic, hitting someone in the face, before storming off the stage and going out the exit with his security guards.

So, my question is, what the fuck does that all mean? I know mid-day dreams tend to be a bit more out there for some people, but thag might be the oddest and most vivid I've had in a long, long time. Im just as dumbfounded thinking about the nightmare itself as dream me was listening to what Noah was saying.
