We see that both Sukuna and Yuji were completely surprised by Maki arriving here. We see Sukuna is facing dowh the stairs. I initially thought she snuck him from behind. But looking at the panel where WCS is being discussed and it very well could be Maki's POV. When you look at her actually cutting off his arm or the end pose she has her back leading down the stairs. Leading me to believe she's to Yuji's left just offscreen where Sukuna is looking. While yes he's fighting Yuji however I think at this point with his focus being locked via Black Flash or still not taking Yuji seriously it's quite impressive. Not to mention Sukuna having fours eyes and being at least a full foot taller is able to see over Yuji's head. Kind of a tiny detail but it's easy to miss when reading sometimes.

This mostly pertains to scaling some of the heavy hitters to the likes of Kashimo with no RCT or Yuki who is often scaled around number five for people despite having only mediocre durability, no reaction feats, and RCT that completely cripples her offense. Dodging or tanking an attack isn't as flashy as landing one but it's equally important. If Maki can dodge WCS what hope does Kashimo have to land a ranged attack? If Hakari or Yuji can just instantly heal Star Rage punches they likely win simply by outlasting.

Yes, Yuji got perception blitzed by a Sukuna who was throwing up fingers. Yes Yuji would have lost in his domain without Megumi's help. Yuji absolutely had a great showing against Sukuna. But he simply is not at the level of equal to or stronger than Sukuna at ANY point in this fight. Yuji is getting set up by EVERYONE else in this fight. He does nothing besides land a few punches in a 1v3, gets simply outran by Sukuna failing to save Higaruma and Angel. And gets countless holes blown in him up until Larue spoonfeeds him a blackflash to get him going. While Sukuna does start the 1v1 with a BF amp to CE output he's also missing WCS, reduced RCT, his heart, two arms, and a mouth. Sukuna also starts off this 1v1 by eating a completely unblocked Black Flash soul dismantle punch that has been told to us time and time again ti be PERMANENT damage unable to be resolved by RCT. Yuji also shows that while he can tank anything he's not really dodging anything and if WCS was in the equation for the 1v1 in 257 Yuji simply loses. EOS Yuji is second best at everything but absolutely not the best at anything. Hakari beats him in stamina and endurance, Yuta beats him in hacks and sheer utility, and Maki absolutely clears in speed, reaction time, and AP. When scaling EOS Yuji people have to account for the absolute lineup of people who made him look so good. Yeah bro Larue isn't a crazy deep fan favorite character but Yuji's legendary 257 chapter SIMPLY DOES NOT HAPPEN with Larue OR Ino. Yuji is very strong EOS and in my top six for base series but damn he simply is not the BEST at anything besides willpower and plot convenience.

If you count the flashes as an individual character moving you get seven. This divided by two for a clash rounding up because they intersect multiple times you get four potentially five clashes plus two for the last clash where you can actually see them fighting in the air and the initial block from Sukuna. With six to seven clashes this exceeds MBA Kashimos melee clash count. It'd still be more if you include base Kashimos first attack. If you include ranged clashes Kashimo comes out to roughly one more TOTAL clashes.

So she almost doubles his melee engages in a single air clash and comes out roughly even if you include ranged clashes.
