As an 18 y/o who intends to pursue higher education after high school, I applied to colleges/universities. But the amount of money that I will need to take out in private loans to attend feels scary. But since exploring a community college in my county has a great program, where I can graduate with no debt, I have been heavily debating it. My biggest worry is what the atmosphere will be like at cc, and whether or not I will be able to find friends since all my high school friends are attending colleges far from home. If I could hear experiences from people who took out loans, and people who attended cc that would be really helpful in my decision-making process.
