This feels dumb...But I'm in my first year of college at my cc. I'm majoring in early childhood education (P-3), partially because I like working with children enough. I feel like it's a job that would actually keep me engaged. But I also only chose it because I struggle a lot as a student in maths and sciences, and so I wouldn't be teaching algebra to kindergarteners...Most days I really just feel like I'm choosing the wrong thing for myself, yet I have no other option. My other friends seem to know exactly what they're doing in school and have an idea for after. I guess I just wanna know if other people felt like a headless chicken during university too, and what they did to gain a little direction. :)

I was just wondering if anyone sees this as a story/advice about moving out of my parents' house. I have a pretty demanding custody schedule between my mom and dad. (It switches basically every two days. Like I spent Friday afternoon and the weekend at my mom's. Then on Monday I'm at Dad's. Wednesday is back to Mom's, and Friday is Dad's, and repeat). I am 18, in college, and commuting there. I would love to just live in one home; it feels stressful and unsustainable at this point in my life. The schedule is annoying enough, but my dad remarried and has 2 children significantly younger than me...I just want to build a singular routine at my mom's house. Basically, if anyone has siblings and chose to live in a home without them, could you share your experience? I just feel like a horrible person to admit to my dad what I need in my adult life, I don't know where to start. Any advice is helpful!

As an 18 y/o who intends to pursue higher education after high school, I applied to colleges/universities. But the amount of money that I will need to take out in private loans to attend feels scary. But since exploring a community college in my county has a great program, where I can graduate with no debt, I have been heavily debating it. My biggest worry is what the atmosphere will be like at cc, and whether or not I will be able to find friends since all my high school friends are attending colleges far from home. If I could hear experiences from people who took out loans, and people who attended cc that would be really helpful in my decision-making process.
