Please Help Me Choose a New iPad + Apple Pencil + Keyboard Combo! 🛟🚨

Hey everyone! 

I currently have two iPad 9th Gens (cellular) — long story, but I’m ready to sell them both and upgrade to something new. What I really want this time is a setup that works well with a keyboard and Apple Pencil. 

This all started because I want to learn Procreate. Realistically, I’d also use the iPad for:

• Grocery/Walmart orders 
• Some web browsing and YouTube (mostly for learning/tutorials) 
• The Canva app and a bit of casual shopping

I don’t want to overspend (budget is budgeting), but I also don’t want something laggy, which is why I am wanting a newer model. I know I do not need anything like the power of a Pro, or I wouldn't think based on what I would use it for occasionally. Payments will probably be the route I'm going to take (be nice pls)

I’ve been browsing eBay for bundle deals and checking Verizon’s options too, but prices seem higher lately with the cellular plans for tablets and I’m stuck in indecision mode — just waiting for that “aha” moment, but I know I will never know what to buy without you guy's help bc I know nothing about iPads after the 9th get, and have absolutely no knowledge of pencil/keyboard as I have never owned either of those accessories.

A few questions I’d love input on: 

• Which Apple Pencil works best for Procreate and light graphic design work? Any accessories or replacement tips you’d recommend that maybe you've tried & loved?
• Best backlit keyboard that attaches directly to the iPad — I use mine in bed at night, so backlighting is key. 
• Are there any specific iPad models after the 9th Gen that stand out for creative use, especially when paired with the right keyboard and Pencil? 
• I really liked the idea of the iPad Mini, but the keyboard situation seems tricky.

I’d prefer to stick with Apple accessories for the smoothest experience, but I’m open to good third-party recs if the quality and price make sense. 

Also, just a side note... if anyone has advice for Mac apps, I would gladly hear you out. I have been paying for and using SetAp, but know nothing about alternatives or other ways to go about having a selection of apps, etc.
