Need advice

My current job is technical but after some leadership change I proposed to our new exec of the dept if he’d consider me playing the CoS role for him — which he’s agreed to.

He provided me a list of initiatives he’s prioritizing before EOY and the ask from me is to ensure things are progressing along with these initiatives by the team. I don’t want to just play the role of doing progress checks with the team and “reporting” back to him. How can I start moving away from doing that and be more hands on with this role?

Some background: I’m new to being a CoS so I’m not really sure what to even expect. I’m still doing my technical work that’s part of my job

Thanks in advance!

What kind of support did you wish you had after having your baby?

I’m pregnant right now and have family around, so I know I’m really lucky in that sense. But talking to friends and acquaintances who’ve had kids, I’ve realized how many people don’t have that kind of support nearby — or their family is around but can’t always be available.

It got me thinking about how nice it would be to have a reliable way to find someone who could help when you actually need it, especially someone who understands your family’s language, food, traditions, etc.

If you could have had someone you could call on during those first few weeks/months, what would you have wanted help with? And if something like this existed, would you actually use it?

Curious what you think! If you’re interested, here’s the site:

Baby boy name suggestions for multicultural fam

Hello! I’m looking for baby boy modern name suggestions that have both Hindu/sanskrit and catholic/biblical meanings. I’ve used google but it hasn’t been that helpful and I know this is not a easy ask 😅

Appreciate any inputs!

Edit:
These are some names we have in mind:
Kiaan
Riaan
Avyaan

TMI - going to the bathroom more often??

I’m about to be 28 weeks starting tomorrow and ever since a week or two ago I’ve been pooping more? Normally I’d go to the bathroom for #2 once or twice a day but now I’ve been going at least like 4 times a day.

Is this normal?

Edit: this is my first pregnancy

Expecting my first baby and realizing how isolating this can feel. Looking for feedback.

I'm expecting my first baby and realizing how much of this we're figuring out as we go. I'm in a multicultural marriage, so we're trying to figure out which traditions we want to keep, blend, or leave behind. It's been more isolating than I expected, especially since we don't have many people nearby who've gone through something similar.

That's part of why I started building Corali (still in beta!), a place where parents can connect with each other, preserve traditions, share what they're learning, and feel a little less alone.

I'd really love to hear: how did you decide what to keep, what to change, and what to pass on?
