Concerta XL Titration Help

Hi, I’m currently going through titration again 7-8 months later; because I was on Elvanse and Amfexa which helped me in so many ways possible, and back then the pros very definitely outweighed the cons.

Fast forward a couple months, I ended up becoming underweight, and couldn’t sleep properly even after using sleep advice and other sleep things from the ADHD prescriber.

I’m now on Concerta XL;

Started with 18mg for 7 days and now 36mg for 2 weeks.

I’m getting no pros, only a few side effects; slight appetite reduction, anger can spill quite easily like before, feel a bit mentally drained with anything I do, like my brains full and I can’t start any tasks, which then makes me mad and upset.

I can finally sleep properly with Concerta XL.

The first appointment, I was asked if I wanted to go back on Elvanse, I definitely cannot go through the Elvanse titration again. 30mg was hell for me, unbearable. So I said I would like to try something else, probably something I haven’t tried before, I searched some up on google quickly during the appointment, and seen Medikinet XL. I asked if I could try this, she said no, to try the Concerta XL but if this doesn’t work, then we will go back on Elvanse as that helped me before. I explained everything that I’ve stated here. I have already tried the Concerta XL last year and it wasn’t working well, it was making me irritable easily, no help in focus etc.

I don’t know why I was denied to try Medikinet XL, as my previous doctor allowed me to try any ones I suggested, however she would try to help me and give advice before and making sure I was sure to make the decision to try different ones etc because I wasn’t getting any good benefits that ways more than the cons.

What could I suggest to my doctor or if anyone had any information to help. I have autism as well and I don’t really know how to explain things correctly to my doctor, so suggesting was quite hard to then get it dismissed very quickly was a bit upsetting.

Sustanon blood results

I have previously made a post a few weeks ago, however my blood results were sitting at 7.8nmol/L for testosterone. I made sure I did another blood test before I made the switch to a different injection/gel. I’m so glad I did, however now I am confused. I have not done anything differently at all. But 2 different results. Would anyone be able to explain please?

First blood results were from 2 weeks ago.

Second blood results are from this week.

Both blood tests were taken at the end of my cycle for when I need to inject just after.

GenderGP and Imago

I started off with GenderGP as it was around before Imago started I’m pretty sure? But I needed HRT and quite quickly. I’ll forever be grateful I managed to start hormones within 3 days actually in my hands from signing up. However fast forward 2 years, I’m struggling to keep up the costs due to many blood tests need doing, having to keep switching different medications; from gels to injections back to gel because my body isn’t absorbing well. I’ve tried going back on gel and it’s a no show for me unfortunately, I genuinely cannot remember to apply it the exact same time every day.

I’m thinking of switching to imago but I don’t understand the prices and how much it’ll be to get it started and then try get shared care as I’ve already tried a year ago for shared care with GenderGP but they weren’t having it understandably because they stated it’s not a clinic in the UK etc.

Would anyone please let me know all the costs to get started? As I’m unsure how much I need for it all as I’m saving up for top surgery privately aswell and I might have to dip in the funds for that to fund it as GenderGP is quite expensive for me to keep up with.

Thank you all.

Driving lessons FtM needing advice

Hi, I’m FtM, few years on T.

My provisional is of a female with my deadname on.

I want to start learning to drive as I’m in my 20’s however I don’t want to come across driving instructors that are transphobic. I know that they could get confused as I have a deep voice, but I wouldn’t want me being transgender to stop me from learning to drive. I’m also worried I’d be treated differently. Personal preference I would want to book a crash course and this would help me massively instead of 1/2 lessons a week as I have autism and ADHD and I forget very easily, and worried I’d get things wrong and become overstimulated.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, good or bad.

Thank you everyone!

18+ ID with deadname and gender

How do you go about going to pubs and clubs or shops in general and needing to be ID’d when your old ID photo and deadname is on your ID as well as the title “miss” and cannot change it due to transphobia in your family while living with them and cannot move out safely yet?

I’m missing out having fun with friends and family on outings due to my ID, bear in mind I have been on T for a few years, and I never get misgendered in public. However I’m worried as soon as I show my ID, I’ll be presenting as a male to them but ID says completely different. I do look young however as T has made me look 12-14, unfortunately my height doesn’t quite help me either as I’m 5ft 4.

Unsure if sustanon works for me anymore, help?

3 months ago, I was doing sustanon 1ml every 2 weeks and my blood results read;

• 13.3 nmol/l = testosterone
• 0.287 nmol/l = free testosterone
• 111 pmol/l = estradiol

Now I’ve had to do another blood test last week, it now reads;

• 7.8 nmol/l = testosterone
• 0.178 nmol/l = free testosterone
• 208 pmol/l = estradiol

Testogel I had previously hadn’t worked for me, my levels would never stabilise and was always too low and very expensive to keep up with, so I changed to injections and it helped massively, stopped the menstrual cycle etc, once I did my injections every 2 weeks.

I do not get menstrual cycles as of now. But I’m unsure why my levels are fluctuating now when it was completely fine beforehand?

Can anyone help please?

I’ve uploaded a photo of my newest blood results from last week.

I have been researching whether it would be okay to obtain a ID card in your preferred name and preferred title, even if you have a provisional and passport in your birth name; I say this because I’m not out to my parents yet and I’m not using it for fraud purposes, I’m using it for shops, pubs etc because giving them my ID in my birth name and gender at birth is really a teeth gritter and overwhelming since they say for example “what can I get for you mate” and then when I ask for a pint, they ask for me ID and they give me weird looks, which puts me down and there’s that..

TL;DR : not out to my parents yet, all my ids are in my birth name and birth gender, wondering if it’s legal and ok to get a citizens card(form of ID) in my chosen name with deed poll and chosen title “Mr”

Thank you for reading.
