Norse gatherers in a remote location when they get found by enemy raiders:
Can I see your Ironkin Steeljacks?
So one thing I try to do before starting an army (I haven't started LoV yet) is to figure out how I intend to paint the key units I want.
Looking at other peoples' LoV armies has inspired me to not follow the exact same box cover paint scheme. Even though I will probably still be using the same Greater Thurian League colour combo, my units should look quite different from the official art just because I'll be painting the off-white and green in different locations on the models.
The one unit for which different looks hasn't really appealed to me is the Ironkin Steeljack. Maybe it's because this is the unit I'm MOST excited for, but unlike the other units in the range, no paint job has really captured me quite like the official box cover paint scheme.
Right now, I'd say I'm very likely going to try and paint them in the style of the box cover (or at least an amateur version on it). But I just wanted to see what everyone else has, in case there's a distribution of the colours I hadn't considered that really speaks to me. But even if not, I just enjoy seeing Steeljacks and what people have done with theirs ;P.
I love those rare occasions when you do a random long-distance grenade shot and it actually pays off
I think Chaneques could use slightly more visual contrast
I don't know if this is just me, but I am constantly losing track of these little statue guys.
When they're un-sieged, they blend in with a lot of scenery, especially because of their small size. I think some spots of brighter colours on them would be great to help them stand out more at a glance.
And when they're sieged up and immobile, maybe some glow effect could be added, so that it's very clear at a glance which are sieged-up and which are unsieged. (I can see there's a visual difference, but again, it's hard to discern at a glance, especially when there's a lot going on)
Damn, I thought I'd accidentally stumbled upon some Brig tech, but upon watching the replay, the Rein charge just knocked me up and gave me extra height to make this possible
I would love if the Hamadryad's cloak was not set to autocast by default, like what they changed with the Zhuque
Now that the Hamadryad has been reworked to have more of its power budget as a backline ranged unit (I like it more this way!), I would love if the autocast of its Woodland Cloak ability was toggled off by default.
I'll admit I've lost track of Hamadryads I've built, since I can't find them easily with the 'all army' hotkey :P . But I'd still like the functionality of Hamadryads I manually and intentionally cloak to not be accidentally selected with the 'all army' hotkey, so that's why I think having it be a manual-cast ability would be better.
